what everyone forgets is that Scott was a big cheater..he scuffed the ball…he just never got caught.

Mike Scott was the only weakness the 86 Mets had. As far as all of the scuffing accusations are concerned, the umps checked the ball time after time. After each time, it was thrown back to Scotty. Also, if every pitcher could throw it like that, every one in Scott's time would have added it to their arsenals. He took what Roger Craig taught him and ran with it.
Scott looks good with a little scuff.
