Syndergaard was bailed out with crazy luck against the Dodgers. They were racking the baseball all around the park and simply could not find a hole in the defense. The Dodgers had 11 balls with an exit velocity of 98 MPH or higher, eight of those 11 were hit for over 100 MPH. Nine of those 11 batted balls resulted in an out. Six of those nine outs had an xBA of .500 or higher. After giving up 2 in the 1st he settled in and kept the guardians in the game long enough for our bullpen to blow it lol. The odds of everything falling right into the glove of every guardian player. I promise you the Dodgers will respond in game 2

How many times has Roberts not used his eyes? Miller had them for six innings, so he walks one guy and sets up a double play. Good in my view, he still had gas in the tank. Let him go one more batter, worse thing that happens is the guy DONGS and it is 3-4. Groundball, out of it with DP, the tide changes and possibly a W, but we're handed another collapse by one pitcher to end it for us. UGH.

Every weakness the Dodgers had to fill at the deadline continues to be their weakness. Relief pitching and in big time need of a reliable bat. And again, as every year, the skipper that must have blackmail on the management must go, management of pitchers is terrible.

I was at this game and early on, Dodgers had dumb luck. Lots of loud outs, especially from Muncy. When you're batting. 193, one doesn't get breaks

I won’t argue with the 97 pitch count decision. But I will argue with pulling staters at 71 pitches who are in control of the game. Especially when Gonsolin inexplicably gets left in to get hammered and hammered and hammered in the middle of a long winning streak.
