The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 6-4 in extra innings at PNC Park on Sunday afternoon. Bryan Reynolds tied the game at 2 on a 2-run home run in the sixth inning. A sacrifice fly from Nick Gonzales then tied the game at 4 in the eighth to send the game into extra innings. An incredible throw from Henry Davis in the outfield prevented the Phillies from taking the lead in the top of the 10th inning. To win the game for the Buccos, Josh Palacios hit his first MLB walkoff on a fly ball to right field.

  1. I will NEVER understand taking a pitcher out when he has a no-no going. Serves 'em right.

    GO BUCS!

  2. absolutely awful for baseball to see pitchers constantly taken out while throwing no hitters or perfect games. not to mention the disrespect towards the Pirates as a major league club. Screw the analytics and let the players play! yikes!

  3. Coulda done without the ghetto dance, bat toss, throat slash demonstration. Phillies will remember that. I would.

  4. What a game! Anybody else just love Endy Rodriguez's enthusiasm? Every time I watch highlights I see him pointing towards his pitcher when he throws a crucial strike amd pump his fist in celebration with a huge out. This guy's got the right attitude!

  5. By my calculations, the pirates will win fewer than 15 games over the remainder of this season.

  6. I swear to god Reynolds just always gets grounded out. It's frustrating the fuck outta me
