Bad officiating. Runner was safe at first base (on the second challenge.) Even the replay CLEARLY showed that he was safe! And pitch was definitely high before they got thrown out of the game.
Did I go to this game in person? Yes. Am I going to watch this highlights video? Also yes
Don't look now but Kyle Gibson 3-0 record currently leads AL starting pitchers. What an absolute off-season steal. Time to sound the Cy Young Award alert.

These NY replay officials need to be fined or fired. That's the 2nd replay they got horribly wrong against the O's in the first week.
The obsession over McKenna here is weird. He’s a utility fourth outfielder. He’s usually solid and made one mistake.
I don’t care about him either way but he’s not blocking any of the kids with his role. The starters are.
As much as we might like them, Hays, Mullins and Santander (who shouldn’t be playing outfield in the first place) are the ones in the way.
I want all those players I mentioned to succeed but the time to make some hard decisions (and trades) is quickly approaching.
The “Homer Hose” celebration is pathetic and won’t age well.
