  3. Wait. He's in the lineup…but he isn't allowed to swing?!? Knowing this, no pitcher is going to throw him a normal sequence of pitches. How is this unrealistic experience going to benefit him? He would get just as much experience just taking batting practice.

  4. Rehabilitation and batting practice is what helps him "track". If he's on the field, he should play.

  5. That's what happens when you refuse to swing the bat. You are NOT a baseball player if you refuse to swing. You also are NOT a man if you refuse to swing. So you did nothing to help your team.

  6. I do like that he did give him at least one pitch out of the zone to let him practice before sending him back to the dugout.
