Former Nats pitcher Max Scherzer got tired of waiting for Odubel Herrera, so… he threw a pitch as soon as Herrera got in the box. Mad Max is one of the most intense pitchers on the planet.
I always hated batters taking too long. I was always a quick tempo guy. I would start my motion just as soon as I possibly could lol. If not it kinda messed w how I liked to work. So I’d pull this shit out when I felt I needed to.
But my catchers and coaches calling pitches knew that so I’d at least have the pitch call and catcher looking 🤣🤣
Eh, baseball already lasts too dang long even when it's a brisk nine innings, the new timing rules will bring a shorter game and a bit more excitement.
I love max but like what's the ump doing. so max only lifts over his head(start of the vid) when he first gets on the rubber. Odubel took only a few secs to get ready and was asking the ump for time. like all of this is allowed in the current pace of play rules so why wouldn't the ump give him time like he does to every batter.

I kinda do that. When I was put into my high school scrimmage, I would stand waiting for the batter to be ready
