The first game of the 2020 MLB Season takes place in Washington DC between the New York Yankees and the Washington Nationals. Offseason free agent signing Gerrit Cole starts for the Yankees and faces off against Max Scherzer of the Nationals. The game was shortened due to rain, but the final result is official because 5 complete innings were played.

Judge & Stanton looked great. Wade can really make a name for himself if he keeps this up also. Gardy should never bat 5th again…EVER. I would have expected Boone to learn his lesson from the 2019 playoffs. If you're gonna have a LF batting 5th, I would expect it to be between Clint or Tauchman.
How come not all 30 MLB teams have fake fans? Why do the MLB teams that do have fake fans have only behind home plate and most of seats around the Stadium? They would make more money!
