Under the management of Hiromitsu Ochiai, the Chunichi Dragons were playing their best baseball in decades, but they fell short in the Japan Series in 2004 and 2006. The Dragons would go on to win the Japan Series for the first time in 53 years in 2007, but one man is still haunted by what could have been…perfection.

  1. Kevin Cash decision was for me understandable but horrible at the same time. Sure in this age of analytics stats shows the difference but when you see a guy dominate that hard, just why not? Would you trust a guy who is blowing them off or the guy in the pen who stat wise is much suited but the hitter is relived the guy you who blew the off comes out in a such horrific way?

  2. Discovered your channel because of Sasaki Roki, stayed for the awesome content. As a Dragons fan it still hurts, but Ochiai's folk hero (sometimes cult hero) status is cemented after this game. Let's see how Tachinami Kazuyoshi does this year…
