Great breakdown and commentary bro. Bird's game would translate into any era, especially in today's league. With the spacing, lax defense, and the three point line being closer than it was in the 1980's he'd be ridiculous. He'd also lead the league in technical fouls because today's soft guys would complain to the ref's LOL. I have Bird at #3 all time. Great reaction!

Isaiah is butthurt because he was left off the dream team and blames Jordan. I suspect that Jordan wasn’t the only one that didn’t want him on the team.
Isaiah turned his back on Magic when he was diagnosed with HIV and don’t think for a minute that wouldn’t have upset Bird as well. Thomas also agreed with Rodman when he said Bird was overhyped because he’s white. I know he basically had to because he was the team captain but he lost a LOT of respect when he did that. Combine that with the physical style of the bad boy Pistons and the fact that they walked off the court without shaking hands after losing to the Bulls and it’s no wonder he was left out. I’m not sure why he was surprised.
Btw, the coach offered to put Bird back in so he could try for the quad but Bird said he’d done enough damage and wouldn’t go back in.
That quadruple double, Larry left the game after the 3rd quarter, saying they'd already done enough damage, so we know he easiily would've had more steals. It's quite possible he would have set the steals record for a single game if he had played the 4th quarter. He also said "yeah I don't care, I could get a quadruple double any time I want."
The hate between Jordan and Isiah Thomas started back when they Pistons used to hard foul Jordan during the Bad Boys years. Then when the Bulls finally won Isiah and the starters walked off the court with 2 min left and refused to shake hands with Jordan and the rest of the Bulls. Jordan has publicly bashed him as having no class and so on ever since and yes, Jordan agreed to be on the Dream Team with the stipulation that Isiah be left off. HOWEVER, it is also well known that Jordan wasn't the only player to have that feeling going into thr Dream Team. Nobody wanted Isiah because as good as he was he had the reputation if being a prick.
The quadruple double he only played 3qts, coach said Larry you want to go back in Larry said no I did enough damage. Lmao the stats didn't matter to him. Wins an loses is the only thing that matters.

MJ is a score'n machine and an athletic goat, Bird to me is the all around goat. Check out the best larry bird vs mj story ever told. I agree I.T. has an issue with MJ and it takes some of the effectiveness out of his statements, but he also is a great so what he says has some merit as well. Even LB said when MJ scored 63, that was G_d disguised as MJ. A testament to MJ's greatness. U gotta give credit where its due.

If I could pick one player from any era to build a team around that player is Larry Bird and I'm a lifelong laker fan since the 80s. He can dominate any era especially today
