  1. Matsui was so CLUTCH! 5 RBI's in this game. 2HR's and 5 RBI's in Game 3. He had a HUGE CLUTCH double against Pedro the year before.

2009 World Series MVP. He had 13 AB's the whole series and had 3HR's and 8RBI's including 6 in the clinching game. Oh yeah, he also hit .615 in that World Series LMAO!

He got robbed in 2003, he should've won ROY!

LOVE Matsui! A classy professional, that played with dignity.

  2. Agreed. There is no way The Sox win 4 straight if we have Pettitte, instead of Brown, and Vazquez.
Still don't know why Torre didn't start El Duque in Game 7. Even if he could only go 3 innings, it would've been better than what Brown and Javy gave us.

Our offense did go right in the tank though, in games 4 through 7. After Arod's HR in the 3rd inning of Game 4, I don't think The Yankees hit another one the rest of the series. We also left a shtload of men on base in Games 4 and 5

  3. It's cooled down because the two teams have not met in the ALCS since. Once they do it will be intense again. It will never be as intense as before 2004, though. Since breaking the curse the hatred from the Red Sox fans, has dropped a little. But hatred from Yankee fans has risen.

  4. I think that it's ironic how @ 2:14:04 it stops promoting at game 3 of the ALCS. Kind of like fate knew what was about to take place at game 4.

  5. LOL the yankees got at least two bad calls in this series. In the first inning of game three when they called Ramirez out at third when he was clearly safe. And in game 5 when Ortiz was called out at second base when he was safe.

  6. Look at all these legends these Yankees at that time, jeter, arod, Sheffield, matsui, Williams, Giambi, posada, Mariano Rivera. Clemens, pettite, and wells shoulda never left, they woulda had a chance at winning the World Series. Kevin brown and javi vasquez sucked and contreras.

  7. I miss these rivalry days now it's all about Barcelona and Real Madrid in el Classico

  8. Joe Buck: "Donald Trump, what's he been doing lately? Haven't seen much of him."Me: Being a dickhead and asshole while trying to be the 45th president of these United States lol

  9. I want revenge against Boston for 04 as a Yankees fan I want another shot at Boston we should have swept them in 04

  10. Meh, in retrospect this title by the Sox is extremely tainted. Both Ortiz and Ramirez were roided to the gills.

  11. im sorry but im never going to buy this. no team whos 3 outs away from getting swept in a 7 game series is going to come back and win that series

    このメンバーが最強、本当に魅力かあった。後にも先にもこのメンバーより楽しかった記憶はない。数字とか年俸とかそんなの関係無くてとにかく見てて楽しかった。まさに強王者ヤンキースだったよ。

  13. The inner Braves fan in me sure wonders where this Gary Sheffield was in the postseason when he was in Atlanta. Sheffield tied the same amount of hits for his entire two-year postseason stint with the Braves just from this one game! Sheffield was 3-40 (.075 BA) in postseason play with the Braves. Pathetic

  14. thanks for posting…watching this made life easier with covid outside…thanks…stay safe..stay healthy

  15. 1:38:33 wish I wasn't reminded of his existence while reminiscing… can't wait till I can say "I haven't seem much of him"

  16. I'm a Yankee fan. I was 7 years old when this series happened. I really started getting into baseball in 2003. I remember throughout 2004, it seemed every Yankee game that I watched, they were playing the Red Sox, and they scared the crap outta me. I remember I was walking outside one day thinking to myself how good the Sox were that year and how they could win the WS. How ironic and accurate I was. I was honestly surprised the Yankees jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first place. I thought Boston regardless was the better team in '04.
