Greg Maddux throwing a cutter that registered 100 mph on the broadcast gun.
Obviously it was a misread on the gun, but I thought it was funny. 🙂

Don't think Maddox ever hit 94
People think because he was a pitcher not a thrower, that he didn't have power in that arm. He just used it when he needed it
8:18:48 Can we simply take a moment to appreciate how many time and work she placed in these vid!?
It's incredible, and I consider they deserve a lot more than that! 🙃
maddux always maintained that he threw the ball as hard as he could. every interview he says this when asked
I am with Foolish Baseball/Bailey with the following misuse of Science Fiction devices. If I had a time machine, the first thing I would do is not go back and buy a bunch of stock in amazon, it would be to carry a cell phone with the radar gun app and see how fast folks like Walter Johnson, Rapid Robert, Nolan Ryan, Greg Maddux, Sandy Koufax, Satchel Paige etc really threw the ball.
I’m gonna say, that was about 88, Maddux didn’t have to throw hard, as you can see the movement in his pitches was just legendary.
Lol Maddox barely threw that pitch 90 mph.
LOL love editing. No shot he has ever thrown a ball 95. That said he was the first pitcher I made my kid look up when he said he wanted to pitch. Sure, a 98 mph missile is great if you need it. But this joystick level alien control made Maddux a HOF’er and a top 25 pitcher of all time.
I didn't think he had that velocity for a fastball much less a cutter!
I don't know that's a accurate reading, but Maddux threw in the mid nineties in his early year's.
I’m going to go with 86… but he did throw harder when he was young. I can remember seeing 92s pop up when he first came up!
Is that Pedro Guererro?
87mph*
Hi ninja, do you think that Luis severinos “103” mph cutter was also a misread? I was watching it live and was confused I can attach the link if you want
