About MLB.com:
Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig announced on January 19, 2000, that the 30 Major League club owners voted unanimously to centralize all of Baseball’s internet operations into an independent technology company. Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) was formed and charged with developing, building and managing the most comprehensive baseball experience available on the internet. In August 2002, MLB.com streamed the first-ever live, full length MLB game when the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees faced off at Yankee Stadium. Since that time, millions of baseball fans around the world have subscribed to MLB.TV, the live video streaming product that airs every game in HD to nearly 400 different devices. MLB.com also provides an array of mobile apps for fans to choose from, including At Bat, the highest-grossing iOS sports app of all-time. MLB.com features a stable of club beat reporters and award-winning national columnists, the largest contingent of baseball reporters under one roof, who deliver over 100 original articles every day. MLB.com also offers extensive historical information and footage, online ticket sales, official baseball merchandise, authenticated memorabilia and collectibles and fantasy games.

  1. To this day this is still the most agonizing loss ever for me as a Royals fan and I just now watched it back for the first time.

  2. I would have sent Gordon. The % chance of Perez getting a hit off of Bumgarner was about the same % chance of Gordon sliding in safe at home. Nobody was hitting Bumgarner. Who's to say that the second baseman throws it 10 feet over the catcher's head. We all saw that wild throw by the Met's Duda when Hosmer raced home from 3rd. It would have been a spectacular end of the world series if he's thrown out but I would have lived with it.

  3. Been 8 years Scence there last ws appearance royals came back and balled out in the 2015 World Series

  4. Not a big baseball guy but I like the niners in football so I like the Giants. It’s odd bc I like the Bulls in the NBA. Glad to see them win

  5. Affeldt is such an unsung hero for the Giant's 3 world series wins. In each of those runs, he came in in the highest pressure situations and locked it down.

In this game, he was the bridge to get to Bumgarner. If he didn't settle the giants down, this wouldn't have happened.

Also the hidden play of the game was Perez making the catch in the 5th. If a different player is there, that's a run, and Bumgarner could have been taken out. Teams know you have to get Bumgarner in the 1st inning he pitches before he gets into a rhythm

  6. Hey MLB, there’s a baseball game in your ads

  7. Madbum has the greatest post season performance in MLB history. He is easily top 3 if not number one in post season pitching lore!

  8. Rewatching this as our team is struggling to make the playoffs in 2022 almost brought tears to my eyes

  9. Rewatching this game, I wonder what if the luck, drive or energy we had to get us all the way could help us this year

  10. 3:18:14 Gordon touches 3rd base just as the shortstop catches the ball from the outfield. Gordon DEFINITELY gets gunned down by 2 miles if he tries to go for home.
