While "Redskins" was questionable and "Chief Wahoo" wasn't a good idea, I don't see the problem with Braves or Indians as names of teams. Don't people want to honor the native peoples instead of deleting them from out culture? Even the Redskins had a classy logo as well as the Chiefs and Braves, and there was no mockery of the native peoples at the games or by fans. "Indian" was a misnomer by the Spanish thinking they were in the East Indies and it stuck as a label for the natives ever since. It was not ever considered a racial slur. I mean is "Vikings" going to be removed too? Or are teams named after white folks celebrated while they delete the names/images of all other races on all products and media?
