The batter is very close to being directly over the plate and contributed to the first HBP.

Frankly, if the pitcher is thrown out for throwing at a batter, then the manager should go automatically, as if warnings had been issued.
MLB should do a video of umps who are in love with the home team…lol
When you throw at someone's head, you shouldn't get a warning.
Umpiring crew did a horrendous job here.

I see a lot of people talking about how Marte getting hit wasn't intentional, which it wasn't. but the argument about Lynn getting tossed was because Sanchez didn't throw at the Cardinals intentionally either…..so, what's the point of throwing him out, if you're not going to just throw everyone who hits a batter out?

That's what happen's when benches don't clear.
The difference is 2 pitches in on Starling Marte's hands, and 2 pitches at Allen Craig's head. Marte's second was a little high but still not at his head
Marte got hit on two checked swings. The other batter got his jersey clipped. Craig almost got hit in the head twice, and Lynn almost got hit in the head. Now, you tell me what was going on there.
I believe the umpire is a Cardinals fan
Cardinals built up a lot of bad karma that’s why they’re irrelevant now and can’t win in the postseason. I love it
