  1. This collapse might be worse than 1987. We will see if they can avoid an 0 and 6 last week. Maybe they will end up in a wild card game with the tigers just for fun. 1987 all over again. Lol.

  2. The mall Santa thinks everything is fine lol F cking bullpen day today.. This management group couldn't plan a piss up in a brewery

  3. Bo Bichette should look up Bobby Baun and learn how it means to sacrifice for the team. His bat is needed and he has had 3 weeks to mend.

  4. ever since Bo went down it changed the dynamics of the line up, it is what it is, they're in the play offs regardless of what happens, they've been coming from behind all season, this will be no different.

  5. And Scneider can't make a batting lineup if his life depended on it!

  6. If you can't pronounce his name, he's not a sneaky good signing. He's an 18-year-old prospect that Atkins will probably trade for a #4 starter in a bid to make the playoffs in 2026-2027, assuming Rogers is still dumb enough to keep him employed after the 10-year GM disaster class we've all endured.

Yes, the offense is brutal. They're showing who and what they are, and what most of us have said they are the whole time…a few good hitters and a bunch of JAGs. They're underperforming, yes, but it wasn't that great an offense at the best of times. The best chance this team has is to have Nathan Lukes-style plate appearances where they get pitchers to fire 10-15 bullets and wear them down into making mistakes, and the only one doing that is Nathan Lukes. Is this week an extreme example? Yes. But it's how that team was built, and there are those of us who said this the whole time. It's a wild card team that somehow overachieved in spite of its clueless manager and even more clueless GM and president, and that's what we're seeing now.

  7. That's right Nicky, it's the Offense – the offense carries this team. Vlad and Dave were venting, its understandable. Those Clement big hits, those Lukes big hits, Straw big hits have disappeared, Barger as well has disappeared, Ty France is crap, Kirk is tired, and we can't expect Springer to carry the team every night or Sandy to comeback after such a long lay-off and save the team. Do something different tonight at bat, switch up the energy, do the "Costanza" (opposite) of everything you think is right.

  8. This is what its like to be a Leafs fan, season hope of winning fades winning the season fades.
About Max – he had one unfortunate hit off him (the two run soft single off a curveball), besides that he gave up 2 runs in his innings over 5, better than Gausman did the night before.

  9. Varland? 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
hope he proves me wrong cause Jays NEED this game.
Make it, make sense, put Berrios in the pen (a guy you gave a massive contract to be a starter – now it seems like the club house is pissed at the decision), you have Lauer in the pen who is a huge reason why you are here – but nawwwww, Shatkins see's the light in Varland, the 7th men (well 8 if you count Lauer) to take care of business tonight during the teams most important game of the year – hands up who ever thought Varland should be a starter? This year? During the most important game of the season? Shatkins had lightning in a bottle when the calendar turned mid-May, even making bone headed decisions all seasons with that tournado he calls a bullpen by getting in his own way. The offensive and at times defense bailed him out – but you see folks, when someone "gets away" with dumeeness they begin to believe it's genius and continue the pattern only for it to knock them in the face – Shatkins lost at trade deadline, and the one good move he made (Bieber) he has fumbled the team ever since, one knee-jerk move at a time. Only Shatkins would open the bottle lid and let the lightning out before the time has come.

  10. Bichette is taking the”I don’t want to come back early, tear my ACL and not get a huge free agent contract” route, instead of playing a little hurt. Maybe he’s not all we thought he was. Let him walk.

  11. The Blue Jays are a "vibes" team. They are better than the sum of their parts. The problem with being a vibes team is that if you remove a key piece, they become WORSE than the sum of their parts. And they've been awful since losing Bo.

  12. Every division leader has collapsed. Detroit has lost 8 straight, astros are out of a playoff spot. All 3 division leaders from the past few months are nose diving to end the season

  13. You had a bunch of role players hitting way above their expectations. Now those guys are back down to earth and Bo isn’t back. Makes sense we’re back to playing like it’s 2024

  14. Laurer was the best pitcher in the summer with the lowest ERA and they take the ball out of his hands. The manager, general manager and president need to be gone, and as far as I am concerned pack the half billion baby with them.

  15. Desperation never works. They are looking depressed and defeated. They need to cheer up, regain confidence, focus and patience. Vladdy is swinging to his own shadow… cool down, man. Breathe, focus

  16. How is Varland the best option in a pivotal late-season game?! I really don’t understand this choice. He hasn’t started all season and has been bad as a reliever (5.66 era since joining the Jays).

And more broadly: how is there any day when they don’t have a starter available? They had 7 viable starters not long ago (Gaussman, Scherzer, Bassitt, Bieber, Berrios, Lauer, Yesavage)

Scherzer has collapsed, several others have struggled recently, but this has also been impressively bad management of the staff.

  17. Yup, it is super exciting especially after the Jays exiting the wild card series next Wednesday night. It is always next year, isn't it? If you don't think so, ask the management team.

  18. The fact that during the fight to win tge AL east, the Jays management show their incompetence by using a bullpen game on the 4th last game of the season. Atkins and Schneider should not return next season.

  19. We are getting a glimpse of what the Blue Jays will look like next season without Bo. Nobody wants to admit it and they’re all in denial, Bo’s bat is top tier and without it in the lineup we lose.
I want to see Springer behind Vladdy and throw Lucas at the top of the lineup or Straw. No one else in the lineup is a threat to do anything and all these pitchers are doing is throwing Vladdy garbage pitches because he has no one behind him right now.

    P.S

Like I’ve said before I’m disgusted the way the Blue Jays have treated Jose and the way they handled Lauer. The Blue Jays put their trust in Bieber (coming off of Tommy John), YeSavage (started 2025 in single A) and Max (a 40 year old) to be our top pitchers so…. Let’s see how all this is going to play out.

  20. Making the post season wasn't even in my thoughts at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, in the last 3 series they are looking a lot like the team I had expected to take the field and that's just not going to get the job done. Guererro has been nothing like what we witnessed from him in the second half of last season and that is sorely missed when you're trying to hold onto a divison lead. The bats seem to be all out of timely hits.

  21. We're screwed. This team doesn't have it. We for sure going to be a wild card team and lose in the wild card. My prediction is that including today's game we have 6 games left this season.
