Great game for Shane Beiber tonight, Jays get sold by the bullpen once again, this time they couldn't pull off another historic comeback. (Only way we can ever win). Varland shouldn't pitch ever again.

Jays return to reality
Literally the worst time of the year for this Jays bullpen to become unable to locate anything. In baseball anything can change on a dime, but if this goes into late September, I’d be worried about going far. Then again this is the Brewers so maybe I’m overreacting.

No Surprise the Jays got beaten by another National League team. The Jays will always be a top tier team in the American League because AL teams always put a greater focus on having strong sluggers. In the National League pitching always dominates, followed by having sluggers. So the Jays can get away having a weak bullpen when playing other AL teams because the opposing AL teams pitchers aren't much better, against NL teams the jays will always struggle. Everything went to $hit as soon as Beiver was relieved.
Don't you just love John Schneider. Regularly starts Daulton Varsho who's hitting .182 in his last 15 games over Myles Straw who's hitting .300. Oh and I think we're now like 2 in 5 or something in Davis Schneider's last 7 games played/started. We will never win a championship with John Schneider as manager, he's horrible. Also why put in Varland when he's clearly not on form and been playing so bad lately?
Brewers are the World Series favorites, no doubt about that

The Brewers are an amazing team because they play great fundamental baseball and are aggressive, forcing errors.
Taking nothing away from the players, this is great coaching. Morale is high and everybody on that team believes in what they're doing and what they do matters.
Unless the bullpen improves, the Jay's won't be there at the end.

Varland will probably be a good reliever to have for the post season, but right now, he is hot garbage and should not be used in high-leverage situations. But Coach has been using him in those situations and paying the price for it. Just let him get out of his funk in low-leverage spots, please. Or maybe his other RH options are hurt?
Jays can't hit against top tier pitching. Forget about their bullpen, they can't get runs until the opposing teams starter is pulled….

The big boys come to town and the Jays continue to capitulate. This was inevitable, these guys are not good enough. They are more than likely going to be caught by Boston and NY and will be lucky to get a wildcard. The bullpen didn't just get bad all of a sudden, it's been rubbish all season and that's only one of the reasons they are not going to achieve much. Sad really because this year is probably the best chance to win it all, they've have had since the 90s, with the drop in the standard of baseball as a whole this season.
