  1. I have been a Braves fan since I saw David Justice play a softball game on MTv in 89. The Braves and TBS defined my childhood because everything had to be scheduled around the Braves schedule. Until I got a job at 16 anyway lol.

  2. Eddie Perez will be the next Braves mgr. I like Walt, but something says Eddie’s next. I want a new GM too. I can’t get over Fried with all the losses we’ve had in FA. I don’t know who’d be a good candidate. Someone from the Dodgers or Yankees?

  3. The only thing I regret for that 90's and early 2000's Braves Team they got just one ring, they should have won at least two or three more:
    1. 91 Against the Twins(damn you Lonny Smith and your stupid base running)
    2. 92 Against the Blue Jays(I simply can't get what happened in that WS, even to this day)
    3. 96 Against the Yankees(Again, one colossal Collapse after leading 2-0)

Plus, they should have made the trip to the WS in 93 and 97.

Still, heil to Bobby Cox and his 95 Atlanta Braves Boys….We salute you.

  4. ‘91 team will always be my favorite. The Braves had two or three missed opportunities to win game 7 of that World Series. I was 14 and had a hard time getting over that loss. However, that season was so much fun because it was unexpected and they came from 9.5 games back at the all-star break to pass the dodgers and win the pennant on the next to last day of the season. The South was on fire for some Braves baseball and the energy at Fulton County those last two or three months of the season was awesome.

  5. While I'm glad that they won it however Bobby Cox was a manager that could get them into the playoffs but actually how many times did he screw up. They should have won at least two other times but he didn't protest when he should have.

  6. Did they invite the home plate umpire from game 6? Giving Glavine strikes out side the zone…smh

  7. Not a Braves fan myself, but like so many watched them a bunch on TBS. Preferred the Braves on TBS to the Cubs on WGN. Leo Mazzone deserves just as much love as Bobby. Dude took 3 pitcher's and coached them into HOFers. Maddux was already very, very solid by the time the Braves got him, but its Glavine and Smoltz where his work really shines. Glavine was looking like a number 4 or 5 starter early on in his career and Smoltz was really bad before the Braves got him. People laugh at that trade, but if you look deeper it was the best thing all around because no way my Tigers were in any position to develop pitchers coming into the 90s. Look at Smoltz's minor league numbers with the Tigers then look at his numbers after he goes to Atlanta.

  8. Luis Polonia, at almost 62 years old, looks very young, and the same goes for Javy Lopez, at almost 55 years old, who looks very young.

  9. Wow. Thirty years. It seems like yesterday we were watching the young guns. Smolts, Maddox, and Gavin’s pitching guided by Bobby Cox and a wonderful outfield taking us to the 95 World Series and winning it. What a team they were. God bless all of you.

  10. Glad Braves got at least one world series from this group. Don't think being the Buffalo Bills of baseball was the legacy they wanted.
