    😂-all that money for Juan Soto!He can hit,horrible arm and defense!The Mets are cursed!Half our roster is hurt and still punk them out!Might want some relief pitching instead of Juan Solo!😂

    That is the absolute truth, the villain is Cohen, instead of getting a couple of ace pitchers (by overpaying them, everyone has a price) and fortifying his bullpen he's paying Juan Solo (the MLB) leader In solo HR's 76.5milllion for 10yrs, absolutely ridiculous, and aside from that he insults hometown hero Alonso with incalculably less. Oh n his pathetic attempt at the deadline with these relievers who have already shown they can't pitch in NY. There's more bad examples but I'll leave it that, last year the team was barely expected to do anything, like at a work in progress and were 2 games from a chance at revenge over the Yankees (remember 2000! I cannot believe I lived thru it) n this team which was supposed to have a shot at winning everything (the Dodgers r more vulnerable) but even then they still can't beat San Diego.
    U know it was obvious Degrom was gonna need another Tommy John he showed every sign, so finally after Scherzer talked to him multiple times about working on his offspeed stuff n not pitching like a closer (which he did until his almost breaking Bob Gibson's unbreakable record in '21) now he's doing it n pitching great for Texas, maybe not at 1.70 level or if not for the fake 2020 season would have won 3 Cy Young awards in a row, I still miss him, he'll probably pitch til 41,42 (u know he wants to be with his wife n kids, family is everything to him, in an age of every kind of narcissistic creep in baseball, he's a good person, a good man and class act) i guarantee his wife put her foot down and said this city is going back to the hell it came from and we aren't raising kids where they can't even go outside, showalter knew Texas and showed him a good place to move, he saw the writing on the wall too, until Cohen learns what really matters in baseball and not swordfighting with the Yankees ownership for whos got the big one its gonna be a long time still for the next set of rings in Queens. Hitting is 3rd, pitching and defense along with chemistry among teammates. I couldn't believe they lost to the Royals in '15, especially after sweeping that mighty cubs team that finally beat their 100yr+ curse the following yr. Mets might have a hundred year curse. I can't believe at 14 I saw their last WS. Went to the ticker tape parade with my best friend and a 5th of Wild Turkey. I was full time frozen food mgr in Grand Union by lying about my age. It was a so much better world then, at work we listened to the Who and Led Zeppelin while grunge was right around the corner.

    Money not well spent cant buy anything. Buying lousy starters is not bringing a playoff spot.
