It’s a bird, it’s a plane — no, it’s a baseball being pitched by Superman star Nicholas Hoult during Sunday’s Pirates game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Hoult, who plays Lex Luthor in the new Superman movie, stopped by PNC Park to throw out the first pitch.
Donning the black and gold, Hoult lobbed the ball to pitcher Braxton Ashcraft.
The actor is in Pittsburgh, along with actress and singer Anna Sawai, filming the upcoming movie How to Rob a Bank. While not much is known about the movie, the IMDB page describes it as an action crime thriller.
