The SFGs need a good game from Birdsong today; he's been spotty of late and close to being relegated back to the BP. With Verlander struggling, the ORG needs to shop around the deadline for another seasoned starter, especially if Mason Black doesn't have what it takes to stick around. The team also needs to win 2 of 3 from PHI….to win the season tie breaker!
A’s moving to Vegas?
Well, the A’s won 11-1 Friday, and Severino got rocked today, so plainly the problem is the mound and the facilities, right?

Adames is coming around! Looking fantastic and confident. Glad Webb didn't do the stupid "hit batter" retaliation thing in the first inning. Right now, Webb has gotta be the All Star game starter, and leading candidate for the NL Cy Young award.
Nice to see Ramos avoiding the sophomore slump, and Chapman's base running (and overall baseball IQ) are off the charts. Jung Hoo Lee looks like he's slumping defensively, like he's lost a little swagger in CF. Hopefully – like his hits starting to drop – the spectacular catches will come back.
Props to 3B coach Matt Williams for the aggressive sends. If you're gonna criticize Matty's bone headed decisions, you gotta shout-out his bold moves that work out, too. Giants bullpen once again in lock-down mode, and this was a fantastic (and much needed) solid team win.
Only nitpick is: how can Devers look so lost? It's like he's trying to work a walk, each time he's up to bat. Let's see some more power swings, Rafi!
