  1. That was close but doesn't a tie so to speak go to the pitcher? Like when it's a tie at first base the tie goes to the runner.

  2. In slow motion, not a swing. An umpire watching in realtime even with a lot of experience can call it a swing. It was close, but definitely not a swing by the rules. He never broke his wrists nor did the bat pass through or go over the front of home plate.

  3. it is the wrists that break, not the angle of the bat, that is what most people forget. His front arm he kept straight but the back wrist offered at the pitch and you can see if pull back the other way.
