Masaru Imada – Pianist and composer ( Born March 21, 1932 in Tokyo – Died May 30, 2025 at age 93 )He has been active as a professional since 1953, and has been active for many years in a variety of genres such as swing, bebop, and fusion. He participated as a session leader in the 2nd Nakanobu Jazz Festival’s Best 5 Classics Collection. From the 10th festival, he has performed many classic songs and contributed as a pillar of the festival. He also cooperated in the launch of the amateur jazz contest, and served as the first judge and the second honorary judge.

1953年からプロとして活躍し、スウィング、ビバップ、フュージョンなど多彩なジャンルで長年にわたり活動してきました。なかのぶジャズフェスティバルの第2回名曲集あなたが選ぶ名曲ベスト5よりセッションリーダーとして参加。第10回までの間、数々の名曲を披露し、フェスティバルの支柱として貢献しています。また、アマチュアジャズコンテストの立ち上げにも協力頂き、第1回審査員長、第2回名誉審査委員長を務めました。
