    As long as Soto and Nimmo not hitting take the unders ,Soto so far non factor and Nimmo ground ball machine

    Good bullpen win after Holmes did a great pitching job… I think Holmes is showing that he can be a reliable rotation starter… My problem in the past few games is that you're seeing signs of some bad ball chasing by some of the Mets hitters. What happened to plate discipline?

    And is Vientos in a sophomore jinx slump? Could be but he has fanned so many times already by my count. The whole lineup seems to have simmered down. Soto is not doing well at the plate, Alonso is starting to press, Vientos better snap out of his strikeout headspace. As much as I like Alvarez, except for the homer, looks like Alavarez of last year.

    Yeah, I know it's still early in the season and we can make excuses for that being the case but my worry is that if the batters don't start hitting, the starting pitching and the bullpen can only do so much. Mendoza is doing a great job with the bullpen and as I've said before, he's letting all his bullpen players stay sharp by letting them pitch if only to one batter.

    We'll see the true character of this Mets team when they lose 2/3 games in a row to some good teams. At the end of the day, I believe in this Mets team to overcome any problems but they should realize that by having a great start of the season also puts a target on their backs.
