  1. I think the length and price of this sign is right. Don't understand why so many Braves fans want the team to spend itself into oblivion every time they get emotional after seeing an AJ Minter sign with the Mets or a Max Fried signing a big deal with the Yankees.

I give AA TWO THUMBS UP for his restraint. Hopefully Profar or Kelenic, at least one of the two, will have a good offensive season and we have a lot of arms to compete for spots in the rotation. Don't freak out, Braves country! I for one am excited for the season. Last year was very strange, it's easy to forget how good our guys are, I have a feeling they're gonna mash this year.

  2. Ryan Webb an Everydayer here… Mr.Crosby, if Kelenic and Hires can figure it out and things go pretty well, what do you think about a 2026 outfield of Profar,Harris and Kelenic with Acuna taking over Ozuna’s spot at DH to protect his health and so he can focus on offense?

  3. Sounds like a straight platoon between Kelenic and de la cruz in right until Acuña gets back. I don't need to see Kelenic flail against lefties anymore.

  4. I'm by no means an expert but I don't see anything in the batted ball profile nor the contact profile that would suggest 2024 was any different than the rest of his career with the exception of his hardhit% increasing by 10% and his FB/HR rate doubling. He was much better against numerous pitches but I couldn't find any data that might suggest why he was better. If someone knows or can point me, I'd love to learn why this was the case.

But, since I couldn't find any data to explain why there was such a massive jump, I'm on the side of it's a fluke season and the Braves gave 42m to one of the worst defensive outfielders in baseball.

  5. Kelnic did a great job last year at lead off hitter. In my opinion that was where he was at his best maybe see if thats his comfort zone.

  6. OK the Dodgers have 2 moves to make there's two many pitchers 2 over the 40 man roster and the Cleveland Guaridians have a Vini pitcher taking this all in looks like this should be our move forward plus some were starters then went to relief and stay within the luxury tax folks we can match up with the Dodgers plus there's a ton of pitching left to sign there are alot of relivers left unsigned ,PS WERE GOING TO BE THE BEST TEAM IN BASEBALL.

  7. I guess Anthopoulos probably isn't wrong when suggesting he was the 2nd best hitter. Just looking at 2024 stats and all the guys they could have potantaly gone after, you have:
    Juan Soto 180 wRC+

    Jurickson Profar 139 wRC+

    Teoscar Hernandez 134 wRC+

    Tyler O'Neill 131 wRC+

    Anthony Santander 129 wRC+

    Willy Adames 119 wRC+

    Alex Bregman 114 wRC+

  8. I wish we could have kept Jorge Soler but I completely understand why we didn’t. I really like the signing of Jurickson Profar and believe he will fit in well with the team.
