On today’s episode of Locked On Stars, Joey gets you ready for tonight’s Dallas Stars game against the New York Rangers. Head Coach Pete DeBoer told the media this morning the Stars will have multiple Game Time Decisions tonight versus the Rangers. Mason Marchment is one of those who is dealing with something from Wednesday against Toronto. The Stars recalled Justin Hryckowian from the AHL in case he can not go. Nils Lundkvist and Thomas Harley are also a part of that list. After the updates, Joey previews the Rangers and shares his take on the Jacob Trouba trade and what has taken place of the last few weeks with New York. Robo looks asleep out there. Just looks he is coasting. Not seeing the hustle. Is it a mental issue? Locker room issue? Something is going on. He just looks like he doesn’t care. In my opinion.
Am I the only one who is concerned about the Stars? I think it's time for a reality check. Stars are currently a bubble team. DeBoers has said on numerous occasions that people need to prove they can help the team win the Cup. That verbiage needs to go out the window. Sense Sequin has been out the team has not been the same. Borque has not impressed, have not seen any moves that makes me believe he has what it takes. Jim Nill says we have cap space. How much cap space do we have? What impact player is out there that could get this team a needed spark? I don't know we have the time to wait until the trade deadline.
No excuses for a team to lose when their opponents take 29 penalty minutes. :(. Sad. Hope they make the playoffs but the way they’re going, I’m not sure. 🙁
