It&#8217;s the opening theme of CITY THE ANIMATION, a spiritual successor to Nichijou, both of which are written by Keiichi Arawi and animated by Kyoto Animation. The song is composed, written, and performed by Riho Furui herself, with the arrangement made by knoak. It&#8217;s released on July 7,2025, coinciding with the anime&#8217;s premiere.<\/p>\n<p>This is beyond a doubt my most favourite song of this season. The chorus, along with the scene at 1:10 makes me feel as if an old friend just came back to pick me up after a long time, saying &#8220;hey, how have you been? It&#8217;s been a while, but I&#8217;m back. Let&#8217;s relive the old memories&#8221;. I&#8217;m tearing up as I&#8217;m writing this, it&#8217;s incredible how much emotional depth such a seemingly cute and happy song can carry. Arranging this on piano while preserving the charm of the original was very challenging, but it was also an absolute joy.
