because\u00a0<br \/>\nof the genre of film we&#8217;re going to put this up\u00a0\u00a0 on Sci-Fi Sunday hope you guys enjoy okay uh\u00a0<br \/>\npeople constantly exclaim this one to be the most underrated one and uh truth be told 100%\u00a0<br \/>\nbeing honest here i saw this when it first came out i don&#8217;t really think I was able to appreciate\u00a0<br \/>\nit for what it is and I don&#8217;t remember anything about it other than a plot point but I know like\u00a0<br \/>\nthe text of the plot point i don&#8217;t remember the moment or visual or whatever you&#8217;ll see what I\u00a0<br \/>\nmean when it when it when it inevitably happens\u00a0\u00a0 okay i also saw this once in theaters and I do\u00a0<br \/>\nnot remember a single thing about it not even a plot point so I question like did I see this\u00a0<br \/>\nin theaters but I know that I remember having a\u00a0\u00a0 vague memory of like huh Simon Peg has brown hair\u00a0<br \/>\nnow that&#8217;s different and that&#8217;s it that&#8217;s all I really remember so I&#8217;m excited to experience it\u00a0<br \/>\nespecially within the context of having us seen\u00a0\u00a0 uh the previous two in this entry seeing how\u00a0<br \/>\nthese all feel um thematically connected even though they&#8217;re not literally connected true true\u00a0<br \/>\nbecause I don&#8217;t know what the I&#8217;m trying to rec I think the plot of the movie is something about\u00a0<br \/>\nlike friends on a trip um but yeah people are\u00a0\u00a0 all constantly saying it&#8217;s underrated and I can\u00a0<br \/>\nunderstand that especially even looking back on it and going like yeah I think I was like not at\u00a0<br \/>\nthe age yet to appreciate this movie or or maybe\u00a0\u00a0 not the age but my personal maturity wasn&#8217;t at the\u00a0<br \/>\npart in my life to appreciate it yet so that&#8217;s why nothing stays in the bank because that&#8217;s how\u00a0<br \/>\nmemory works right it&#8217;s more than just facts\u00a0\u00a0 it&#8217;s also facts backed with emotion so I&#8217;m waiting\u00a0<br \/>\ni want to see how the uh emotional impact is and maybe this time it&#8217;ll stick with me yeah that&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nthe best part about watching movies you know they\u00a0\u00a0 you experience them over time as you age and then\u00a0<br \/>\nyour opinions about those change over time so it&#8217;s Yeah I think I&#8217;m excited to also experience that\u00a0<br \/>\ntoo let&#8217;s dive in man all right dudes len dudets and Greg trying out young words hey thank you so\u00a0<br \/>\nsomething like that ever have one of those\u00a0\u00a0 nights that starts out like any other but ends\u00a0<br \/>\nup being the best night of your life oh Vegas 96 yeah it was June the 22nd 1990 oh my god that&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\ncoming up wow there was Oliver Chamberlain Peter Paige Steven Prince Andy Nightly and me that&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nyoung Simon Peg my name&#8217;s Gary King ollie going to miss about school\u00a0<br \/>\nmaybe Mr shepherd pierce Brod hey he used to ask me what I wanted to do with my life they&#8217;re\u00a0<br \/>\njust smoking together two different bonds in your\u00a0\u00a0 franchise okay that night it was the sight of a\u00a0<br \/>\nheroic quest the aim to conquer the golden mile there was the first post the old familiar\u00a0<br \/>\nthe famous [\u00a0__\u00a0] the cross hands the good\u00a0\u00a0 companions the trusty servant the two-headed\u00a0<br \/>\ndog the mermaid so many bars the world&#8217;s end we didn&#8217;t waste any time we hit hard we hit it\u00a0<br \/>\nhard there was drinking there was fun there was controversy there were ladies there was shots\u00a0<br \/>\nthere was drama the glory days damn these match cuts are phenomenal by pub five we were feeling\u00a0<br \/>\ninvincible and decided to purchase some herbal refreshment from a man we call the re oh my\u00a0<br \/>\nman so we carried on without him good thing I bumped into his sister in the next pub we went\u00a0<br \/>\ninto the disableds and I bumped into her again nine pints in and it was us against the world\u00a0<br \/>\nthings got mental in the beehive so we repaired\u00a0\u00a0 to the bowls club or as we like to call it the\u00a0<br \/>\nsmokehouse this is my jam everyone got power and Pete Chuck oh my god wow the editing is always\u00a0<br \/>\na star in these films knowing in my heart life would never feel this good again and you know\u00a0<br \/>\nwhat it never did oh [\u00a0__\u00a0] he&#8217;s in rehab would anyone like to add anything oh wow that&#8217;s what\u00a0<br \/>\na stark difference sad turn of events you didn&#8217;t make it to the world&#8217;s end that&#8217;s the only thing\u00a0<br \/>\nI remember just what is it that you want to do we want to be free to to do what we want to do and\u00a0<br \/>\nwe want to get loaded and we want to have a good\u00a0\u00a0 time and that&#8217;s what we&#8217;re going to do we&#8217;re going\u00a0<br \/>\nto have a party whoa it&#8217;s cool wow weird like the the the start of this is like the fun debauchery\u00a0<br \/>\nkind of teen movie and then it has this like stark shift and you&#8217;re like &#8220;Oh is this story about\u00a0<br \/>\nalcoholism?&#8221; Yeah i was like &#8220;Oh this is actually\u00a0\u00a0 kind of sad.&#8221; Yeah it immediately hits you in\u00a0<br \/>\nthat sadness of like this guy&#8217;s living in the past and you&#8217;re watching the success of his\u00a0<br \/>\nfriends while he is if it&#8217;s Yeah lining\u00a0\u00a0 up yeah he&#8217;s still living in this like\u00a0<br \/>\nstudio apartment yeah stuck in the glory days or what he thinks is the glory days\u00a0<br \/>\nis that Patty Constantine from House of\u00a0\u00a0 the Dragon i would have no idea cuz I\u00a0<br \/>\nhave not seen that show oh man it&#8217;s so good it&#8217;s one of my favorite things about Edgar\u00a0<br \/>\nRay man he knows how to take things that I feel like the average comedy would shoot in a mundane\u00a0<br \/>\nway and make it super interesting great yeah like he said uh one of his previous films the the\u00a0<br \/>\nway it&#8217;s shot is one of the characters just what is it that you want to do peter petro she&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\na beauty yeah but she&#8217;s no beast hello Peter that was quick gary the once and future king were\u00a0<br \/>\nyou outside my house this morning no i could have swore I saw you on my street i&#8217;ve never been\u00a0<br \/>\nto Bishop&#8217;s Gardens dude dude dude dude has funny vanessa no man between all three of\u00a0\u00a0 these characters come on man don&#8217;t you miss it\u00a0<br \/>\nlaughs the camaraderie fights the hangovers so fierce it feels like your head&#8217;s full of ants oh\u00a0<br \/>\nhe&#8217;s a good manipulator mhm knock knock what are you doing here Gary you&#8217;re supposed to say who&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nthere i can see who&#8217;s there hello you done bent later which I really appreciate it so far I&#8217;m I&#8217;m enjoying\u00a0<br \/>\nthis intro the most out of the three it&#8217;s It&#8217;s\u00a0\u00a0 most character- driven for sure oh look\u00a0<br \/>\nis anyone hungry uh I need a piss actually even the way it like the whatever camera\u00a0<br \/>\nlens they&#8217;re using it it feels like a lower\u00a0\u00a0 quality type of film camera for a more\u00a0<br \/>\ndramatic effect it&#8217;s not as sleek i&#8217;m a partner now started my own firm in 98\u00a0<br \/>\ngot bought out in &#8217;05 i&#8217;m happier though\u00a0\u00a0 \/>\nexpected i didn&#8217;t remember a single thing about the movie i thought the ending was unexpected and\u00a0<br \/>\nexciting um if they had a a a spin-off I I doubt it because you know we haven&#8217;t heard anything\u00a0<br \/>\nabout any continuation on this since then it&#8217;s part of a trilogy but um yeah the way it was\u00a0<br \/>\nshot the way it was character driven and then the hard pivot into the sci-fi setting which only\u00a0<br \/>\nput our characters in a situation that heightened the immediiacy of the drama they were experiencing\u00a0<br \/>\nand then in contrast with you know what the reason they were there in the first place with um going\u00a0<br \/>\non the pub and then how that became heightened\u00a0\u00a0 because of the situation i just thought it was\u00a0<br \/>\nall really well done for a second I was like &#8220;Okay I think this alien plot is kind of hijacking\u00a0<br \/>\nthe character driven thing which brought us here in the first place.&#8221; And it definitely came as a\u00a0<br \/>\nsurprise once the movie took that turn but they\u00a0\u00a0 found ways to weave that back into the narrative\u00a0<br \/>\nwhich only made the central point of them being there more sad and yeah poignant to a place that\u00a0<br \/>\nit you know allowed us to have an arc that was fulfilling that made sense coming from a real\u00a0<br \/>\nplace but they did it in an unconventional way\u00a0\u00a0 which I really appreciated but yeah those are u my\u00a0<br \/>\nshot my thoughts in short greg what did you think i would probably agree with you on the ranking\u00a0<br \/>\nuh because I I think all three of these are are amazing films all three are incredible and\u00a0<br \/>\nsucks when you rank and how when people receive a it&#8217;s usually between Sha Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz like which one is the person&#8217;s favorite\u00a0<br \/>\nand Hot Fuzz often takes the cake but for me I would pro I would actually put this as the the\u00a0<br \/>\nsecond uh amongst the three hot Fuzz is amazing um but in terms and I think each one of them\u00a0<br \/>\nprovides something very different i think even\u00a0\u00a0 Hop is probably the the sharpest one in and the\u00a0<br \/>\nmost refined in terms of the Edgar Wright style uh and in terms of like messing with genre as well\u00a0<br \/>\nthis one really did something different where it\u00a0\u00a0 told it the other two are kind of like a riff on a\u00a0<br \/>\na very specific type of film and this has its own story about a guy who&#8217;s a alcoholic stuck in the\u00a0<br \/>\npast unable to move forward and it&#8217;s a road trip movie it&#8217;s a buddy movie with this alien turn that\u00a0<br \/>\noccurs halfway through and I was s like when the moment came I wasn&#8217;t even sure what was about\u00a0<br \/>\nto happen and I was like oh okay I I thought I my mind kept saying it&#8217;s an alien movie i didn&#8217;t\u00a0<br \/>\nrealize it was like this like robot thingy movie um but yeah for sure when I was younger the the\u00a0<br \/>\nnuance and the emotional depth it&#8217;s like it&#8217;s easier at any age I think to absorb a Hot Fuzz or\u00a0<br \/>\nShauna of the Dead versus like an experience such as this which is a lot more mature in what they\u00a0<br \/>\nare like the like he&#8217;s uh he you see that Gary even like tried ending his life at one point\u00a0<br \/>\nhe harmed himself yeah and and the struggle of like massive depression and the pain and I like\u00a0<br \/>\nhow the action scenes and the the adventure they get thrown into pull this out of them um pull\u00a0<br \/>\nout like the anguish and the physical struggle pulls out the emotional struggles that they have\u00a0<br \/>\nwith each other and I appreciate too how like the film was stylized but like I think Shaun of the\u00a0<br \/>\nDead and and Hot Fuzz there&#8217;s no slight to them it&#8217;s one of the geniuses of of those films is the\u00a0<br \/>\nediting and film making of it uh really is like uh it draws attention you know like you&#8217;re very aware\u00a0<br \/>\nof the film making flourishes and the transitions and while there were so many times we appreciated\u00a0<br \/>\nit this one I actually found myself thinking about that less as the movie went on whereas it really\u00a0<br \/>\nfeels like a staple of the character and I I like if anything was to be a restraint on the Edgarite\u00a0<br \/>\ndirection i&#8217;m like I guess that would qualify as\u00a0\u00a0 restraint even though this movie is still just\u00a0<br \/>\nas composed and uh thought out that it does feel like the the more adult version even right down\u00a0<br \/>\nto them having a dramatic blowout at the end and I I love how Simon Peg and Nick Frost through all\u00a0<br \/>\nthree of these films have managed to embody three different characters it&#8217;s really easy to just\u00a0<br \/>\nmaybe have them show up and be like &#8220;Play your\u00a0\u00a0 type play the type we like.&#8221; And we often do that\u00a0<br \/>\nwith uh American actors you know especially when we have a duo work together again like there for\u00a0<br \/>\na long time there&#8217;s like the Appatau crew a long time there was Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson to\u00a0<br \/>\nplay a Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson type [\u00a0__\u00a0]\u00a0\u00a0 like that and this trilogy they&#8217;re not playing\u00a0<br \/>\na type they&#8217;re they&#8217;re playing they really are embodying these these characters and it was\u00a0<br \/>\nsuper impressive watching their performances here because Nick Frost is a it&#8217;s a complete\u00a0<br \/>\n180 like this is this is in some ways a a more uh drunken depressed version of what a Shawn\u00a0<br \/>\ncould have turned into for for um for um Simon Peg&#8217;s character right like cuz Shawn is like\u00a0<br \/>\na slacker and loves to drink and in some ways they&#8217;re like yeah it&#8217;s kind of like an old version\u00a0<br \/>\nof him not exactly the same guy but you can see\u00a0\u00a0 some of those shades whereas Nick Frost is like\u00a0<br \/>\na pendulum swing from what he did in Hot Fuzz and um the Dead right like it&#8217;s so different and he&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nso freaking believable at the same time uh yeah I I I love the uh I love I love this one kind of\u00a0<br \/>\na lot yeah same i was like why is this one so slept on this is definitely underrated and yeah I\u00a0<br \/>\nthink this is argu arguably Nick Frost&#8217;s strongest performance because he does have to carries the\u00a0<br \/>\ndramatic weight of you know the history that those two characters have gone through coupled with\u00a0<br \/>\nyou know com using that that anger coming from a real place to then accentuate the comedy as well\u00a0<br \/>\nand I feel like because he got to play a lot of those different shades it not only speaks to his\u00a0<br \/>\nability as an actor both within this film but in comparison to those other films because he is more\u00a0<br \/>\nof the the comic relief kind of dumber slacker and you know he&#8217;s he&#8217;s good at playing those roles but\u00a0<br \/>\nI I do enjoy seeing him within the the context of this one and they both have kind of gone through\u00a0<br \/>\ntheir their own experiences with pain obviously Gary with you know him being stuck in the past\u00a0<br \/>\nwanting to relive the glory days him um coming out of the the hospital and Nick Frost having lost\u00a0<br \/>\nhis wife and his family and his kids and then kind of relapsing back in alcoholism over the over\u00a0<br \/>\nthe course of the film because of the events that\u00a0\u00a0 have happened so they they both have been carrying\u00a0<br \/>\nthis thing with them whereas Simon Peg&#8217;s character is more avoidant and not wanting to face all of\u00a0<br \/>\nthose things uh I guess they&#8217;re both not really wanting to face it but coming from two different\u00a0<br \/>\nplaces i think that the way it was executed and\u00a0\u00a0 using their personal plightes as the defense of\u00a0<br \/>\nhumanity that we have the right as people to go through trials and tribulations and [\u00a0__\u00a0] up and\u00a0<br \/>\nwhich is you know our we&#8217;re our right as humans to be able to do that and the alien was like you\u00a0<br \/>\nguys are lost cause screw it that in a weird way being more connected has kind of messed us up on\u00a0<br \/>\non some levels that you know previous versions of uh or previous generations of humanity have had\u00a0<br \/>\nto experience i don&#8217;t know it&#8217;s it&#8217;s it&#8217;s a pro\u00a0\u00a0 and con on one level we&#8217;re more connected on the\u00a0<br \/>\nother side you know we&#8217;re I don&#8217;t know more we&#8217;re we&#8217;re technology has enlightened us but has also\u00a0<br \/>\nmade us more cynical i don&#8217;t know there there&#8217;s a\u00a0\u00a0 larger conversation there um but I think that kind\u00a0<br \/>\nof to I think something you touched on a little bit is that with this being us watching in 2025\u00a0<br \/>\nas opposed to watching in 2013 when it came out we&#8217;re a lot able to pick up on a lot more of those\u00a0<br \/>\nthemes because we have grown up both individuals i just turned 30 greg is 47 uh and we are you know\u00a0<br \/>\nwe we&#8217;ve been there we&#8217;ve you know he&#8217;s he has gray hair now i&#8217;m proud of him okay prostate\u00a0<br \/>\nexam today that&#8217;s beautiful two can I come come on come on now but uh um yeah I I I&#8217;ve seen\u00a0<br \/>\nthe Gary Kings you know and you know the the the high school washouts and it&#8217;s interesting that\u00a0<br \/>\nyou know even though it takes place in England th that type of guy that type of archetype does exist\u00a0<br \/>\nall over the world and yeah I I really enjoyed it i I enjoyed it as much as Shawn of the Dead i\u00a0<br \/>\nknow I said it&#8217;s in a ranking system but like Shan of the Dead was here at Worlds End was\u00a0<br \/>\nright here because I feel like they&#8217;re doing\u00a0\u00a0 similar things about addressing potential and\u00a0<br \/>\nand pain but executing it in very different ways so yeah fully and the writing on this was so\u00a0<br \/>\ngood because you really all three of them are are really good i think this screenplay this one&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nobviously the most character-driven even if it&#8217;s not your favorite one I think there&#8217;s no question\u00a0<br \/>\nabout it it&#8217;s like an objective point that this is the most character-driven one out of the three and\u00a0<br \/>\nthe way they handle the dialogue between between them all it doesn&#8217;t feel like exposition there&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\na natural way that they&#8217;re delivering exposition that is telling of the characters it&#8217;s like\u00a0<br \/>\nyou&#8217;re watching the begrudgingness of them being here them not even really understanding what\u00a0<br \/>\ngot them to agree to come here and then through reliving and recounting certain stories of Yeah\u00a0<br \/>\nthere is this ultimately there is a kinship and that there it&#8217;s not so black and white the\u00a0<br \/>\nmemories shared between them while there&#8217;s obviously some darkness and some um you know uh\u00a0<br \/>\nresentment in place for them especially towards the Andy character Gary character i mean the the\u00a0<br \/>\nthe history between them really shines like the the script on them is is so well done that I\u00a0<br \/>\nreally felt like they were friends from way back when and I could see what they were saying\u00a0<br \/>\na lot of the time like I was they were painting a good picture because as they&#8217;re recounting\u00a0<br \/>\nthe memories and and saying stuff there&#8217;s so\u00a0\u00a0 much emotion behind how they&#8217;re saying it\u00a0<br \/>\nthat it&#8217;s painting a picture of their past and I think like having that very elongated uh\u00a0<br \/>\nopening to show the fun and to capture that &#8216;9s stylesque of the the life that they had does aid\u00a0<br \/>\nin uh being able to imagine um but yeah this is uh this is a really impressive trilogy too you\u00a0<br \/>\nknow like there are thematic similarities as we were talking during it uh thematic similarities\u00a0<br \/>\nof the hive mine small towns pubs friendship uh there&#8217;s like a lot of bromance stuff in in all in\u00a0<br \/>\nall three of these that&#8217;s a that&#8217;s a really big\u00a0\u00a0 uh prevailing quality as well i&#8217;m sure there&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nlike other things and I mean there there are characters who you wouldn&#8217;t expect that turn into\u00a0<br \/>\naction heroes uh Nicholas in Hot Fuzz is obviously the most overt action hero but Nick Frost was able\u00a0<br \/>\nto become that in Hot Fuzz uh every all three of them have different types of violence different\u00a0<br \/>\ntypes of action but that is a a through line uh there is a sort of thing here too of all three\u00a0<br \/>\nare small town benality type of lifestyle you know normal routine mundanity that eventually\u00a0<br \/>\nsome inciting incident happens that turns this whole thing upside down you know so I think this\u00a0<br \/>\nit&#8217;s like cool complimentary pieces that they that they provide and I didn&#8217;t I mean this is the\u00a0<br \/>\nfirst one where I noticed the lighting a lot and it got progressively more grain to reflect like\u00a0<br \/>\nthe mint chip for whatever the hell flavor this\u00a0\u00a0 one is and also you know alien sci-fi [\u00a0__\u00a0] h I\u00a0<br \/>\ndon&#8217;t know if there is like a specific lighting color to the other two i I I didn&#8217;t notice that\u00a0<br \/>\ni don&#8217;t know i didn&#8217;t think pick up on that yeah I think it&#8217;s easier for me to notice that with\u00a0<br \/>\na movie like this especially because like the\u00a0\u00a0 Matrix I can recall being the first movie i really\u00a0<br \/>\nnoticed that um like a color association because it&#8217;s reflecting the Matrix numbers yada yada yada\u00a0<br \/>\nand sci-fi alien so of course I&#8217;m notic I&#8217;m more likely to pick up on something like that so that\u00a0<br \/>\nwas really cool and also the additional characters\u00a0\u00a0 in here were all excellent patty Constantine\u00a0<br \/>\nuh you know as Steve is obviously a really big contribution to it i love Martin Freeman getting\u00a0<br \/>\nactually be a character this time versus a cameo like he&#8217;s he got a small cameo in the first one\u00a0<br \/>\na bigger cameo in the second one now he&#8217;s an\u00a0\u00a0 actual character here uh I don&#8217;t know who&#8217;s the\u00a0<br \/>\nother guy the one who was who was bullied um I know the actor I can&#8217;t remember his name but he&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nreally good yeah he&#8217;s amazing too like when he was\u00a0\u00a0 being abducted I was feeling really sad it&#8217;s cool\u00a0<br \/>\nhow they found ways of each one of them gets an opportunity to confront their past like Nick Frost\u00a0<br \/>\nand Simon Peg is very much in them being is there is in their friendship and resolving that the rift\u00a0<br \/>\nthat happened there the one guy going up against the bully and watching how that has probably\u00a0<br \/>\nheld him back so much in life you know and uh Steve getting the girl the love of his life\u00a0<br \/>\nnot so much for Martin Freeman but but everyone else i like Pierce Brozen&#8217;s cameo i think he\u00a0<br \/>\nbrings a lot of presence uh to it the the fight scenes were surprisingly really cool like they\u00a0<br \/>\nwere they were pretty awesome i know a lot of\u00a0\u00a0 people love like the gun action of uh Hot Fuzz but\u00a0<br \/>\nI I personally like the action more here than than Hot Fuzz no that&#8217;s probably the hottest take to\u00a0<br \/>\nsay but I I prefer the action here than Hot Fuzz hm you said one thing that I think I may have\u00a0<br \/>\nto disagree with you a bit a little bit was the\u00a0\u00a0 I felt like this one when it comes to character\u00a0<br \/>\ndevelopment is probably I feel like a second into Shaun of the Dead because Shan of the Dead that&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nlike the the inciting first scene and then you\u00a0\u00a0 know that circumstance is what brings him to the\u00a0<br \/>\npoint of leadership and it&#8217;s and each situation um plays into you know him confronting these\u00a0<br \/>\ndifferent aspects of his life and the subtext and history behind be behind those things but It&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nthat it&#8217;s coupled with the growing uh theme or the the growing circumstance of the zombie apocalypse\u00a0<br \/>\nwhich finally comes into full frame when he&#8217;s with\u00a0\u00a0 Nick Frost&#8217;s character um but I think this one\u00a0<br \/>\nand and I&#8217;m tossed right i&#8217;m tossed because first of all this does I agree with you on the front\u00a0<br \/>\nthat this is super character focused and they do\u00a0\u00a0 paint a vivid picture of their history but I part\u00a0<br \/>\nof me wonders if the tension of what they were facing and the mystery of it would have been more\u00a0<br \/>\nimpactful if they kind of did a similar thing with\u00a0\u00a0 Shawn of the Dead where like they&#8217;re hinting that\u00a0<br \/>\nsomething&#8217;s wrong versus the abrupt twist that oh no this is a different kind of movie now and I&#8217;m\u00a0<br \/>\nI&#8217;m debating in my brain which I would like better\u00a0\u00a0 i like the way it was executed here but I feel\u00a0<br \/>\nlike there was a part a point of the movie where became them reacting to what was going on and then\u00a0<br \/>\nit brought it back to the character focus but for a like a small portion of the film uh that wasn&#8217;t\u00a0<br \/>\nwhat was going on it was mainly like focusing on the action and focusing on um yeah them trying\u00a0<br \/>\nto figure out what the circumstance was but yeah I I still think it it&#8217;s my second favorite\u00a0<br \/>\nstill think it&#8217;s great i think there&#8217;s a bit of\u00a0\u00a0 a mixed bag for me like this is not black and\u00a0<br \/>\nwhite when the transition happens from the big uh bathroom fight scene and then when they decide\u00a0<br \/>\nto proceed with the journey Mhm where it might have been a little too just a tad I was feeling a\u00a0<br \/>\ntad bit where I&#8217;m like I feel like you guys would be a lot more scared or a lot more tense about\u00a0<br \/>\nthis situation and and I felt like it wasn&#8217;t I felt like it it could have leaned more into the\u00a0<br \/>\nthe tension and the fear and the what the [\u00a0__\u00a0] going on um with these characters uh a little bit\u00a0<br \/>\nmore like the first thing Nick Frost says when the bathroom fight&#8217;s done is I can&#8217;t believe you lied\u00a0<br \/>\nabout your mom and like that&#8217;s funny it&#8217;s funny but that was the first time I was like I don&#8217;t\u00a0<br \/>\nbelieve this person would say that in this moment yeah it was more of a joke than realistic moment\u00a0<br \/>\nyeah because of uh like you guys just encountered some type of alien thing where you killed a bunch\u00a0<br \/>\nof teenagers you know like Yeah and he&#8217;s sober in this moment too so um I like I get it i I can\u00a0<br \/>\nunderstand the intellectualizing of that character in that particular scene but it was a moment that\u00a0<br \/>\ndid slightly pull me out of seems like you&#8217;re going for the joke here when I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nwhat the character would have really I don&#8217;t think\u00a0\u00a0 any of these car I think all you guys would just\u00a0<br \/>\nbe solely focused on the alien [\u00a0__\u00a0] um so yeah it was like a couple minutes there but you know\u00a0<br \/>\nthey&#8217;re all like inebriated for the most part so\u00a0\u00a0 a lot becomes a little bit more forgiving uh but\u00a0<br \/>\nyeah no I mean I like how it&#8217;s flawed and I like I but I like the flaws of it and I like that&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\npart of the theme of the movie is you know I was hearing a some a talk about it I think like just\u00a0<br \/>\nthis morning yeah it was just this morning about what one of the problems is with AI as we&#8217;re\u00a0<br \/>\nlearning our relationship with AI is we hear so much about it was Simon Synynic on diarrhea the\u00a0<br \/>\nCEO and he was saying that um so much of the we hear so much about it&#8217;s not about the destination\u00a0<br \/>\nit&#8217;s about the journey but AI is all about the destination and as I was listening it did get\u00a0<br \/>\nmy brain thinking about how it&#8217;s on the journey That&#8217;s where you that&#8217;s who you&#8217;re it&#8217;s about\u00a0<br \/>\nwho you&#8217;re becoming on the journey the skills you develop on the journey uh the mistakes that\u00a0<br \/>\nyou make that make you who you are today they the flaws are a part of the fact that you&#8217;re not\u00a0<br \/>\nperfect and perfection um is hollow perfection is like imagine if everyone&#8217;s just using chat GBT to\u00a0<br \/>\ntext each other and email each other and every art design is being completely polished via through\u00a0<br \/>\nAI or done via through AI if everything is like missing that that that like part of the flaw\u00a0<br \/>\nis part of the beauty and the tangibility and the connectivity is having some of that mess in\u00a0<br \/>\nthere and I like that this movie is saying like that&#8217;s what humanity is all about is is having\u00a0<br \/>\nthese things and you know You&#8217;re watching Andy Haggari accept himself through this process\u00a0<br \/>\nas he&#8217;s defending humanity he&#8217;s also defending himself simultaneously because he is coming to\u00a0<br \/>\nterms with like it&#8217;s okay to have these flaws it&#8217;s okay to have these imperfections and I have\u00a0<br \/>\nto accept that about myself so I can move forward so there is a beauty I think to the messaging here\u00a0<br \/>\nyeah of these characters you know yeah and it&#8217;s\u00a0\u00a0 done in a very believable way and I appreciated\u00a0<br \/>\nthe the film for doing that i think that&#8217;s Yeah this was made in 2013 or came out in 2013 and then\u00a0<br \/>\nwe&#8217;re experiencing it from us being like the the height of the rise of AI and I think even I don&#8217;t\u00a0<br \/>\nthey never inherently or outright say AI in this movie but whenever I see these kind of plots I&#8217;m\u00a0<br \/>\nlike well what&#8217;s the point you know you&#8217;re you&#8217;re getting rid of you know a lot of humanity for\u00a0<br \/>\nthe sake of peace and and you know to be part of the galactic empire but if everything is is fake\u00a0<br \/>\nand part of this this society where everything is is so smooth I don&#8217;t know like it it speaks to\u00a0<br \/>\nthat what is the point of anything if you know we&#8217;re all just co- living for pleasantries i don&#8217;t\u00a0<br \/>\nknow it just seems odd to me you&#8217;re just I don&#8217;t know just like a farm of of docile beings that are\u00a0<br \/>\njust spread across the galaxy for the sake of just existing i don&#8217;t it did I don&#8217;t know I I never\u00a0<br \/>\nunderstood if AI is all about the endgame what is the purpose of the endgame yeah well the journey\u00a0<br \/>\nis what makes up the end game exactly no the journey exactly it&#8217;s all about the journey it&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nall the growth well um I hope AI edited this video well uh thank you guys for joining us on this\u00a0<br \/>\nCornetto trilogy thank you the most fun of the three or I think Shan\u00a0<br \/>\nthe Dead is the most inspiring and most impressive oh really i think Shauna is the most fun um I\u00a0<br \/>\nthink Shan the Dead hits all the the heights for\u00a0\u00a0 me like I think it hits every single thing it&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\n[\u00a0__\u00a0] tight Chris yeah no yeah i think I think it&#8217;s a it&#8217;s a excellent film it&#8217;s it&#8217;s classic\u00a0<br \/>\nand held in high regard for a reason but I feel like this movie also deserves more love thousand%\u00a0<br \/>\nthousand% and uh I can see how it&#8217;s like a harder to advertise movie and it&#8217;s also very like we said\u00a0<br \/>\nat during it&#8217;s it&#8217;s the most like British one of them all where you can see how Hot Fuzz and Shawn\u00a0<br \/>\nof the Dead could be popular in the States this\u00a0\u00a0 feels more specifically British um in in a lot of\u00a0<br \/>\nits style which is not really a hindrance and we watch plenty of things that are that you know um\u00a0<br \/>\nbut I I don&#8217;t know if I really I don&#8217;t really know\u00a0\u00a0 why it didn&#8217;t do well just throwing some guesses\u00a0<br World&#8217;s End uh if you have\u00a0<br \/>\none I think I have one i think I do yeah it was I want to say 2015 2016 anime expo here in Los\u00a0<br \/>\nAngeles and you know me and my friends got into shenanigans you know alcohol and and vegetables\u00a0<br \/>\nwe went to a rave uh that was an anime expo and we would we would dance to uh the music but in\u00a0<br \/>\nlike a fight style also like dance fight with each other and then if you guys have seen Dragon Ball Z\u00a0<br \/>\nuh we uh were were dance fighting and then me and my other friend were like building up blasts and\u00a0<br \/>\nthen the entire audience started turning towards us and we were both like charging our blast\u00a0<br \/>\nto the beat of the music and then the entire\u00a0\u00a0 audience gave us their energy to like support\u00a0<br \/>\nthe blast and I didn&#8217;t get mine on the beat so then my attack failed but then my friend held up\u00a0<br \/>\na spirit bomb and then literally this crowd full\u00a0\u00a0 of 100 plus People all start putting their hands\u00a0<br \/>\nup towards my friend and she throws the bomb and destroys me and it was a beautiful glorious night\u00a0<br \/>\nthat I will never forget um is it exactly getting pissed drunk like this no but it was a night out\u00a0<br \/>\nand it will stay in my heart forever wow uh mine would be eighth grade dance i did not I went to\u00a0<br \/>\nhigh school for like six months i didn&#8217;t really have a high school life obviously really i didn&#8217;t\u00a0<br \/>\nknow that yeah I only went to high school for like\u00a0\u00a0 six months i don&#8217;t have a diploma um don&#8217;t have\u00a0<br \/>\na degree obviously and eighth grade dance went to the same like some left some new people but the\u00a0<br \/>\nfirst it was mainly like the same 25 kids it was a small small class uh from first to eighth grade\u00a0<br \/>\nand I&#8217;m still super close friends with a small handful of them John being part of that camp and\u00a0<br \/>\nuh like I just solve like one of them another one of them works with us behind the scenes you know\u00a0<br \/>\nlike I&#8217;m really close with uh like two more of them as well And uh 8th grade dance was like the\u00a0<br \/>\nfirst dance I ever went to i was really nervous uh there was a the time of the day where I&#8217;m like\u00a0<br \/>\n&#8220;Oh my god I&#8217;m going to take this girl out i have a crush on her.&#8221; Like I was hella nervous and\u00a0<br \/>\nuh my friend and I who one of the ones I&#8217;m still super close with we choreographed a whole dance as\u00a0<br \/>\nStrangers in the Night by um Frank Sinatra um yeah first first I was my first kiss technically yeah\u00a0<br \/>\nit was like a little peck on the lips but yeah um yeah but the that experience I remember that and\u00a0<br \/>\na couple days later we graduated and and that I I remember feeling like incredibly depressed after\u00a0<br \/>\nit ended and like I was nominated funniest kid in class last only 30 of us but I was not the\u00a0<br \/>\nfunniest kid and I had a lot of standout like all my school memories are from there and I have I\u00a0<br \/>\nhave so many fond memories of it and I I feel like there&#8217;s after 8th grade and that I&#8217;m an adult like\u00a0<br \/>\nthere&#8217;s so there&#8217;s such like a gap there like I I I&#8217;m missing the progression that everyone has from\u00a0<br \/>\nlike high school to maybe college and uh yeah so for me it is like there&#8217;s this big gap in between\u00a0<br \/>\nbut eighth grade as the second you ask I&#8217;m like a thousand% eighth grade dance for sure um yeah but\u00a0<br \/>\nI haven&#8217;t had Yeah and thank you for the question and the last one Andrew Laxton um from both of\u00a0<br \/>\nyou what is your go-to beer and go-to liquor drink great way to end off these questions ah well I got\u00a0<br \/>\ntwo go-to beer is Mango Cart it&#8217;s delicious love me a mangoey drink um second place will probably\u00a0<br \/>\nbe uh what&#8217;s it called um third place is going to be uh Procco not procco what is it uh what&#8217;s\u00a0<br \/>\nthe the the the beer that&#8217;s from Japan uh Sakura saporro there it is and second place is Modello uh\u00a0<br \/>\nfavorite alcoholic drink either a Roman Coke or a Long Island iced tea yum yum yum about you man uh\u00a0<br \/>\nwell I don&#8217;t like beer honestly really don&#8217;t and I haven&#8217;t had a drink in almost six months good\u00a0<br \/>\namount of time and but when I was it would be a vodka cranberry i&#8217;m very simple girl i love a good\u00a0<br \/>\nvodka cranberry uh but yeah no I mean not having had a drink in six months it felt pretty good you\u00a0<br \/>\ndo see like even if you only do it on the weekends like you do see like a big difference in your\u00a0<br \/>\nmentality and physicality and your energy when swinging back into Monday you&#8217;re like &#8220;Oh yeah\u00a0<br \/>\nactually quitting drinking.&#8221; Uh no i I don&#8217;t I genuinely don&#8217;t feel like I had a problem um\u00a0<br \/>\nbut doing it for health reasons and dieting\u00a0\u00a0 reasons I have noticed like a big difference come\u00a0<br \/>\nMonday like oh I can function Monday you know um do you feel like you ever have a drink again\u00a0<br \/>\nyeah sure i&#8217;ll have a drink yeah okay but uh\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;m not chomping at the bit too i&#8217;d like to see\u00a0<br \/>\nhow long I can go for without having a drink oh yeah um maybe just wait for like a truly special\u00a0<br \/>\noccasion i do fear that I will binge though if I do it like I I fear that like I&#8217;ll have one and\u00a0<br \/>\ncuz I&#8217;m a very extreme guy which can be great and bad and part of me is worried that I&#8217;ll have\u00a0<br \/>\none drink and be like well let&#8217;s just keep going uh so yeah it&#8217;s a it is a uh scary prospect to\u00a0<br \/>\nme so I&#8217;d
