A new Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime has been revealed to be a 2019 anime adaptation of their popular Madoka Magica game Magia Record. Although it’s just a side story at first glance, it has a hefty story that has been adapted into manga and a stage play already and now a full anime series. All the original magical girls like Madoka, Mami, Homura and more are back in the series, but there’s also a brand new character called Iroha who is going to be the main character in this series. Not the Rebellion sequel we’ve all been patiently waiting for, but definitely something huge for Madoka fans until the inevitable reveal of the next Madoka movie (part 4).
