    Oh thank god they’re getting rid of that garbage opening! I don’t usually skip OPs, but that was the most visually uninspired, music video-esque thing I’ve seen in a while for a big time show. When A random show nobody was looking for like Tougen Anki has better OPs and EDs than you’re anime you’ve messed up big time.

    I sure hope part 2 gets better like people have told me cause so far this show has been VERY underwhelming. Was expecting a lot more given the hype around it and the author being propped up by FF/SE mangaka. This series is just lacking in heart and character to me so far. It’s got such a unique concept and theme, but I don’t feel like the execution has been done very well. Am I the only one more interested in The Sphere than The Pitt? Aside from the class disparity stuff and the sphere structure, the other part of the world has been largely uninteresting. Best spot they’ve introduced so far was the graffiti town.

    Outside of the world though, the cast has been pretty flat and forgettable aside from the Rudo and Jabber. Also, the humor isn’t very good (quite basic honestly with some of the visual gags) and honestly the presentation is just underwhelming (character designs are fine, but art style is ugly imo and animation is just okay) considering what this studio is capable of and how high profile this anime is. It’s like I feel the way Sakamoto Days manga fans feel in regard to that adaptation.
