ガチアクタはちょっとヤバい!
Wouldn’t your neighborhood be 50% cleaner with one of these? I take this back. I didn’t know that the crap lands on people’s heads. I thought that these three giant trash titans would give Rudo more of a run for his money than the whack aim guards from last time. And I was pleasantly surprised. With this black looking hacky aura, Rudo seems to have unlocked his powers. I wish he was able to clock that lame guard the way he clocked this trash titan. It would have knocked some sense into him. Also, did he take notes from Takamura? Because this cut is so clean. From what we got so far, there are these guys called givers that are able to utilize the power of objects that would seem to be trash. My prediction is that the book that the masked man stole contained information about this world and the givers. For some reason, the masked man didn’t want this information to get out. But I think there’s more to it than that. I feel like Rudo was set up by the apostles. This is a crazy theory, but I feel like people who have the potential of being givers are falsely accused of deleting someone or doing some other kind of horrible crime because their power is a threat to the system. I wonder if Reto knew someone who had been to the sewer land. Anyway, the Gifters concept is really unique. While doom scrolling today, I found out that the mangaka K Urana is actually a huge Okubo stand. Soul Eater was one of her favorite manga growing up and she worked as an assistant on Fire Force. I can definitely feel a similar sort of vibe emerging from this series to what I get from watching Soul Eater, which is a good thing. Rudo ends up meeting Engin and a group of people that inhabit this sewer world. The commonality with both of these interactions is that he doesn’t know when to shut his mouth and it ends up with him getting into trouble. First up, Engina with Rudo is hilarious. The whole time he’s getting him to be quiet because he knows that noise attracts the trash titans, but he gets so pissed off he ends up causing more noise than Rudo ever did, attracting the whole squad. I love unaware characters like this. This is where we get our first glimpse of Gifters’s power. This aura envelops the umbrella like a dying will flame. And from what I can tell, we have different colors of aura as we see that Rudo has a black aura with this tint of red. Engine’s finishing move is absolutely bonkers. Look at the way it causes this environmental damage in the shape of the umbrella’s framing. This was overkill. He has a very cool design and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a fan favorite with the female fan base of the show. He seems to be that type of character. If you know, you know. Engine gets tired of Rudo yapping and allows him to interact with some of the local inhabitants of the sewer world. Initially, these people are all friendly to Rudo, acting like they are amazed to see a spherite, but it’s all an act. I love this world building. So far, we learn that these people really suffer because of the people above throwing down their trash to the lower world. The trash pollutes their world, turning their air into poison. Also, it creates those massive trash titan monsters. Not to mention that people even end up getting crushed to deletion by this trash. They end up tying up Rudo ready to sell him. And I understand their frustration. Imagine walking home from work and this gigantic creature of the night spawns in front of you. That would totally kill the vibe. What happened next scared me. They forced Rudo to eat the trash his people forced upon them. And Rudo is not all right in the head. He has a cheeky nibble of this lad’s fingers and then he even eats the moldy trash. This is what happens to a man when he loses the love of his life. He summons up his hockey trash magic on these men and gives them hell. If I saw that menacing black aura and a massive floating chain, I would have just whistled and walked away. No knife is going to help you at this point. It’s like the police in Invincible. What are you going to do with your guns? They all get their asses beat in seconds. And Rudo is really about to delete this dude. He wasn’t joking about going on a rampage when he was falling into the pit. Engine saves the man who just had his fingers nibbled and offers our cannibal protagonist a job. Rudo declines and wow, this was an amazing episode. I wouldn’t say I’m hooked yet, but I’m that stage before getting hooked where you are just checking when that next episode comes out, even though I’m a few episodes behind at this point. For me, it now all depends on how much I vibe with the side characters. And from looking at that crazy amazing opening, which is a mix of the vibes I got from the Hunter X Hunter first opening and the Dead Man Wonderland opening, these side characters look cool, and I can’t wait to meet all of them. The world is incredibly promising. engine looks cool as [ __ ]
