Hey, what’s up everybody? Love FT here and today we’re going to be watching New Panty and Stalking with Garter Belt. So, this is a show that I’ve wanted to react to for a long time. I had watched season 1 long time ago, way back when I was in school still. Um, obviously the much like Grand Blue, which I just started posting on my channel again, uh, this is a show that is returning after a long uh, break. So, I believe this is 13 years later from season 1, I believe. 2012ish, somewhere around 13 years, a 13 year wait. Um, maybe more, maybe less, but is back. Uh, to be honest, I had no clue that it came out today. I saw people in my Discord were like, “Yo, it’s back. Go watch it.” I was like, “Oh, crap.” All right. Got my stuff set up. Uh, so we’re going into this fully blind. I have no clue what the heck’s even going on. Obviously, some things that uh I hope for. Oh, before I get into that, uh I was going to do a rewatch just like how I’m currently doing with Grand Blue, but I kind of ran out of time. If I knew it was coming out today, I definitely would have done the rewatch a lot earlier. Just like with Grand Blue, I timed it where I was able to finish it pretty quickly right before season two started. But yeah, I just didn’t get lucky with this one. So, we’ll be going in without watching season one again. It’s been several years for me personally. Uh I did watch an English dub, of course, one of the funnier uh shows in dub. Now, what I am curious about is if we’re going to be picking up on that absolutely insane cliffhanger. I’ll never forget that. stalking actually being a a um not a devil or demon, right? I forget. She was the enemy and then she killed Panty. I was like, “What?” But the signs were there. It made sense. She fell in love with one of those nasty wicked monsters. Uh so yeah, I’m very curious to see if they pick up off that or if they just reccon it somehow like, “Oh, that was just, you know, I was just moody that day or something.” You never know. Um, and then also with uh voice actors and actresses, I’m sure there probably won’t be like the same people across the board. It’s been 13 years, so I’m not going to go in there expecting everyone to have the same voice. Um, and then lastly, and this one is, you know, I I think of this show in the same way I do with the Boondocks, where would they really be able to stay as unhinged with their comedy and their themes as they could back 13 years ago? Can they do it with the Boondocks? I don’t think the Boondocks would be able to exist in this day and age. And even if it did, I don’t think the jokes would hit the same. The whole point was that it was like, you know, extremely offensive. Um, but you know, they did it well. They executed it really well. So, I personally feel like we’re going to see them tone it back in this show, this new season. Uh, which would be unfortunate, but, you know, as long as the jokes are still funny, the plot’s still good. I’ll always love this show. It doesn’t have to be offensive for me to like it. Uh, but yeah, let’s just get into it. Again, English dub. I don’t watch painting stalking sub. Never did, never will, always dub. Let’s get into it. It’s a little loud on my end. Holy crap. Hi. Hello. Brief. Brief. By day, I’m a student. A different voice. And a loser on the bottom of my school. Okay. Transfer students suddenly showed up. Classic. Nice recap. Ghost here. Peace on earth. And as if things weren’t already crazy enough around here, their evil boss, Corset, wants to open the gates of hell right here in a huge cockshaped ghost. I mean, quite literally, what the hell? That was between me and were finally heating up. But then her freaking regenerated and she was no longer the [ __ ] we all knew and love. And wouldn’t you know it, my dick being the key for the gates of hell. That was a trip, dude. I madness. But somehow with a little help, we still managed to save the world. That was insane. Are we actually picking up? Oh, we’re picking up off this. Wait, it’s actually a plot point. They redid his voice for the screen. I am actually a demon. Is that still 666 pieces of alath. Okay. Interesting. So, we are actually picking up on the same freaking plot. That’s I didn’t expect that. All right. And I can’t tell if Stalking’s uh voice is the same. I feel like it is, but you know, just 13 years. Maybe it’s a little different. Also, I am curious about the opening. So, we’ll see. I like how they redid some of those scenes with the new voices. I’m so glad they’re going to be joining the crew. Also, these little chibiies are adorable. Let’s see. Let’s see. All the necessary arrangements have been made. Garter, what are you doing? They’re messing with us at this point. They’re messing with us. They leave for 13 years on one of the biggest cliffhers ever. Then they come back and hit us with another cliffhanger. Crazy cliffhanger. King of hell. Be mean. All under control. Of course, my king of hell. Oh my god, bro. Oh no. Please don’t tell me guarders been it off this time. No, they’re they’re kidding. That’s not real. No, I won’t believe it. Crap, man. You know what’s funny? I just when he just said that it reminded me of when I saw a theory of someone saying you know what if uh Hasbin Hotel and Hell of a Boss take place in the same universe as Pantheon Stalking since they’re just doing their stuff on Earth. There’s some heaven stuff with Adam and the Angels and all that and then you know Charlie Blitz and all them in hell. That would be a cool little thing but I don’t know why I just thought about that just now. All right, first things first guys. They blew me away with the animation. They definitely cooked. Second, as I already said before, I’m very glad they picked off from the cliffhanger and they didn’t just wcon it. That was nice. Third, I’m glad that it was just mind control. That’s all. Very satisfied with that. Um, and then of course, you know, u Scanty and Eox, they’re going to be joining the crew. I like that a lot. The jokes so far and like the humor has delivered in my opinion. They started off they started it off very very strong. Very strong in my opinion. Uh so I’m not even worried there anymore. Like that was great. I do I guess the repent from Panty was different because this is stalking. It’s the homie. Wow. What a frame. Um, this is the homie, you know. So, maybe we’ll hear it again when they get back to working together next episode or something like that. But, um, yeah, that was amazing. The OST as well. I love the OST. It’s It’s really interesting, too, because I don’t know if this makes sense, but I really don’t even feel like this was a season premiere. I I don’t It’s funny because it’s like to me this is not season two episode one. This is season 1 episode whatever the finale. This is the finale to me. Next episode is going to be the start of season two for me personally. This is this is a great conclusion. I love it. Absolutely loved it. Also, I think this was like a full voice actuh actor change. I’m still, it’s still up in the air for me with uh stalking. I think she could still be the same one because listen, I know this is unfortunate. This is really disrespectful of me, but the first time I heard her voice was uh from Mera Jane in Fairy Tale. That’s Meera. So, whenever I hear her vers voice, I always think Mera Jane and then talk. Um maybe I’m just a fraud. I just I it doesn’t sound like her. I don’t think that’s her. And I definitely know Panties is different like 100%. I’m going to miss the old VA. Um, but I definitely think, you know, after 13 years things happen, so it is what it is. Garders is the one that sounds the closest to how it used to be in my opinion, but obviously his is different as well. Uh, but yeah, guys, I never thought I’d see the day where I’d be able to react to one of the early early shows I watched like still in school, man. I was in high school and now I get to react to the same show. That’s crazy. Holy crap. But yeah, this week we’ve had two shows now where they come back after an extremely long hiatus. I guess you want to call it that. Basically thought that they’d never come back. So, both of them have delivered Grand Blue. I’m glad I get to watch PSG and Grand Blue at the same time because they are both absolutely hilarious shows. Uh, but yeah, thank you so much to everyone who tuned in.
