The true connoisseur always drinks tea from a cup I’ve had tea in Hong Kong several times before As regular viewers who’ve seen me dine out know I absolutely hate when har gow wrappers burst They are doing it for attention, to grab eyeballs It will make the steamed dumplings very large Good morning, everyone. It’s almost 7 o’clock in the morning now I slept very well last night Several reasons Tiredness is one of them The second is sleeping comfortably The pillow is a bit too high Everything else is pretty much fine The air conditioning is strong enough And it’s not too noisy Really good The price is also quite reasonable What I like most is that they allow early check-in This is very important Let’s talk about today’s plan I’m still downstairs at the hotel now I’ve already checked out The luggage is placed there Today’s plan I’ll go to the newly opened Lin Heung Tea House first to grab something to eat After finishing the meal I’ll just take a short walk around the area Probably around 10 o’clock or so Past Tsim Sha Tsui East It’s said there was a Dragon Boat Food Festival there Something like that After visiting the Dragon Boat Food Festival Just past Kai Tak It should be read as Airside over there Tsuen Wan people wake up very early, today is Saturday If in mainland China More and more people now can take holidays meaning they don’t have to work but Hong Kong is definitely a bit different Often it’s in the morning Let’s talk about this hotel There’s one thing that’s not so free and easy Actually, it’s quite far from the MTR station They have buses specifically for taking passengers to tourist attractions and MTR stations but the frequency isn’t very high which is quite normal of course That’s how it is Walk along this street Fortunately, we’re now walking this street in Tsuen Wan Whether going to Tsuen Wan Station or Tai Wo Hau Station This road won’t be too desolate or empty of people No Now I’m going to take the MTR at Tsuen Wan Station Actually, the two stations are about the same I think if the weather is going to be hotter Let’s go back to Tsuen Wan Station now, it’ll be more comfortable. Many people have already started work. Go straight ahead here and turn left. We should arrive soon It’s now 7:45 in the morning I believe everyone here should be quite familiar with this place Even as tourists We all know when we come here It’s almost like Chungking Mansions The Lin Heung Teahouse I’m going to should be right around here This Lin Heung Teahouse is different from the one in Central I finally found it, right ahead These are the most popular spots for tourists There are lots of delicious foods up here All-you-can-eat Cake Clothing store It’s almost eight o’clock now Hope I’m not too late arriving at this hour No need to share tables Or you won’t see those tourists Rushing to eat here Hope not to see it It’s not like the situation where people queue at the entrance A century-old taste of cultural heritage This really sounds like a slogan from a mainland restaurant Let’s go up All dim sum from dinner to late night at HK$48 True connoisseurs always drink tea from a lidded cup I’ve had tea in Hong Kong several times before But viewers kept telling me I should try this place This is the only way That makes sense I just took away the one used for washing dishes There was a Mandarin-speaking blogger before Not sure if you’d call them bloggers or experts They’re just talking about us Cantonese people This way of rinsing cups is a bad habit We’ve all been doing it this way since coming to Hong Kong This is called culture Let’s see what’s available to eat They insist on handmade dim sum Excellent They have all kinds of dim sum, from large to medium portions I’ll order some dim sum that we often eat in Guangzhou For example, siu mai Actually, 35 dollars isn’t that shocking Steamed beef with tangerine peel I’ll have the steamed beef balls with tofu skin Steamed beef balls with bamboo shoots I won’t have the rice noodle rolls No point eating these starchy foods when they just make you full There’s also these interesting shark’s fin and fish maw dumplings in soup here for just 48 dollars or maybe xiaolongbao Either is fine These are just some dishes, no need to go into detail about these The prices aren’t the kind that… …would make you question your life choices when you see them OK First, here are the rice noodle rolls This method is very nostalgic They’re prepared in advance, then customers can choose whichever type they want As for dim sum, I see there are barbecue pork buns I see shrimp dumplings at the back There are also black rice noodle rolls later I don’t know what that’s called There are siu mai My food has arrived. First, I’ll have two items. One is shrimp dumplings. The other is steamed pork buns This place also upholds the nostalgic way It’s not about marking paper or scanning QR codes You see which dish looks good and take that one This is truly commendable And of course, you’d want to eat dim sum while it’s hot. Scan the QR code—sometimes it comes up. Not sure which comes first. Let’s try this one first It’s really beautifully wrapped When it comes to Guangzhou Actually, there are ones wrapped this beautifully In comparison I actually think the prices here are more reasonable And I really like these small shrimp dumplings Not those oversized ones Except for the beef balls, other dim sum shouldn’t be too big Because these young masters from Xiguan enjoy their tea in such small sips. Eating a whole piece at once is not the way of Xiguan’s young masters. Any audience who has had tea with me often knows. I absolutely detest when the skin of har gow dumplings bursts The larger ones tend to crack easily Neither the ones with very thick skin nor those with very thin skin are suitable It’s just right Another advantage of the teapot is just like this I don’t know much about food, but I know a little about shrimp dumplings. This one has bamboo shoots inside. But they’re not the very large kind. Of course, there’s shrimp And actually, I can accept it. Thicker shrimp dumpling skins are better than ones that burst. This is the kind I like. Towards the end, there’s a bit of dried bamboo shoots There’s also that kind of heat and the lingering aftertaste. Then there are four pieces here. This is also a key point. Those stingy teahouses Those cheap ones are only three pieces. There’s also roasted meat here. The triple combo is 398 dollars. The roasted goose is 168 dollars Available after 11 o’clock At this time, more and more customers are coming in Because it’s already past 8 o’clock Some friends also come to have dim sum together There are also those who drink tea before work Their service is always very prompt For example, when they see my tea is almost finished They know how much I’ve drunk and then refill the water But sharing tables is quite normal Actually, when I was little and had tea with my dad we always had to share tables too It’s not like mainland China nowadays Guangzhou teahouses have spoiled us too much. Next, let’s try this one – they all come in sets of four. I’ve left it for a while. Because actually, dry-steamed ones tend to be a bit like this As the saying goes, steamed and dried Do you call it “steamed and dried” or “shaomai”? Or perhaps “steamed shaomai”? There are some teahouses in mainland China that I don’t like They are doing it for attention, to grab eyeballs It will make the steamed dumplings very large Very large Only three pieces, needless to say And still that phrase “Young Master of Xiguan” How did you manage to eat such a big piece? The young master is choking. Small ones are better. There’s a little bit on top. It should be shrimp roe I guess or perhaps crab roe the meat inside isn’t minced too finely you can’t tell what quality or texture the meat has But there shouldn’t be any tough tendons inside either. Suddenly biting into a piece of soft cartilage – that kind of thing absolutely can’t happen. And it shouldn’t be too big to choke on – what to do about that? Some places try to show off by putting little abalone on top Those who scam out-of-town tourists can never fool us who’ve been eating here since childhood There needs to be a bit of fatty meat, but it’s perfectly balanced This place is the same Because the meat is too dry Actually, it won’t stick well Same here It won’t come out in one piece Poke open with chopsticks Of course, the siu mai will stick together when steaming It’s perfectly normal for the skin to fall off a little It would be worrisome if it didn’t fall off I’m afraid they might add some chemicals, but they don’t. Next up, chicken feet. Freshly steamed and piping hot. Actually, it’s hard for me to imagine During the late Qing and early Republic period, how did the young masters of Xiguan appreciate this delicacy? Or perhaps they disdained to eat it If so, they missed out on something great Everything here is steamed beautifully and there’s plenty of it I can see at least four of them And there aren’t too many peanuts below – some, but not many You can’t even see this in Guangzhou It’s almost invisible – I haven’t seen it in a long time either You might find some in teahouses in Foshan Or at snack shops, sesame rolls And if you can’t finish, you can take it away Keep eating on the way Try the chicken feet They’re very large I once had huge chicken feet at Shamian Actually, American chicken feet are a better choice The American chicken feet served at Qiao Mei Shi Fu are truly different Because they need to be big enough Smaller ones sometimes have a fishy taste when eaten I’m very picky when it comes to eating chicken feet I didn’t like eating it when I was a child. I only started to enjoy it when I grew up. A few requirements. The bottom line is, for heaven’s sake, don’t make it a pool of oil This one doesn’t have it Because the sauce needs to be mixed before steaming I’ve tried it in Qingyuan before Oh no, it’s soaked in oil The second point is to absolutely avoid any chicken gaminess This one doesn’t have that either It would be even better if it could be a bit more tender It should melt in your mouth It would be great if you could eat it without teeth. This one still requires a bit of chewing effort. But it’s not hard to eat. It’s not bad And it must be piping hot Dim sum must be served piping hot Tender enough to absorb the flavors Well-seasoned, chicken feet are not hard to enjoy Of course, the ingredients must be of excellent quality. This can be considered above average. Try this, it’s called sesame rolls. Now there are also freshly baked char siu pastries But I’m already full after eating this one. It really has a fragrant sesame flavor. This one is already rolled up. It’s not the kind that’s been steamed again but it doesn’t feel cold has a fragrant sesame aroma and it’s not dry on the surface the inside is very soft It’s clearly stated that it hasn’t been sitting out for long It’s impossible that it was rolled out just ten minutes ago I guess it was made this morning Very rich sesame flavor The sesame rolls I used to eat as a child They used to drizzle some peanut butter on top Those were too heavy and not good I’m full, how does it look to everyone? I think it’s like this First, the essence of Cantonese tea drinking is to sit down with a pot of tea and a couple of dim sum Take it easy and chat with fellow tea drinkers rather than how the food itself should be as long as it’s not too bad, it’s fine for example, if the steamed chicken feet have a strong chicken feet smell, that’s not acceptable because those are foods we eat every day Just like how you eat rice It doesn’t need to be too bad But to eat plain rice and make it incomparable is unnecessary The food prices here are actually not too expensive If converted to mainland prices I even think the shrimp dumplings are cheaper than in the mainland With this kind of quality But perhaps they are relatively newer, this branch The guy at my table and I—let’s not call him uncle Actually, I’m not that young either The elder brother said He drinks more over there He prefers the one in Central more Because they use trolleys As for here, it might be because it’s the break-in period. Not sure what the reason is. The dim sum doesn’t come out hot enough. Mine is fine The first one was just a bit off The second one Perhaps because it was too popular Beyond the hype So actually it’s quite crowded The floor service is a bit lacking But their service attitude is very good There’s no sense of disgust or unwillingness to serve you There is no such thing You can chat and talk with them This is also the essence of our tea drinking culture It’s very important to chat with the staff Uncle also chatted with the floor staff for a long time These are all the essence of our yum cha culture You can find them all here Another most important thing is I think This place is for tourists Many tourists come to visit Hong Kong Whether they’re from Guangdong or elsewhere I’ve been drinking tea since childhood Or perhaps those from other provinces who’ve never tried it before They can all find what they’re looking for here The very essence of tea drinking It’s a bit crowded But this is just how Hong Kong is The prices might seem a little high No problem at all Actually, everything else isn’t cheap either I think if you’re a tourist if you don’t come to Lin Heung Tea House – I mean this one You would miss out on a very important part of your Hong Kong experience Unless you come here frequently like I do Tourists visiting Hong Kong will have one more option to choose from Open 24 hours But as the brother who shared the table with me earlier said Local customers might find it more convenient to go to Central Of course, it depends on the situation If you have to cross the harbor even in Central It’s really not that convenient It depends on your choice And it might be busier on weekends with more tourists It could get a bit more hectic For example, when I first went in, the table behind me had some foreigners drinking beer there It was so funny, you wouldn’t believe it Who drinks beer during morning tea? These are the symbols of Hong Kong’s cultural fusion Seeing someone drinking beer during morning tea Very amusing And now it’s not even 9 o’clock yet I’ll go to East Tsim Sha Tsui, and take a walk nearby before heading there Or walking to Tsim Sha Tsui East wouldn’t be strange either But it’s much hotter today After checking the map on my phone, I decided to walk to Tsim Sha Tsui East Tsim Sha Tsui East waterfront – I remember listening to Hong Kong pop songs here as a child Or if you watch TVB, you’d know Tsim Sha Tsui East is a must-visit for tourists We’re heading there now, after coming to Hong Kong so many times We’ve never properly visited Tsim Sha Tsui East Passing by in a vehicle Taking the MTR definitely doesn’t count This time we can go Taking advantage of today’s special event When I was taking the MTR just now I already saw someone holding a dragon boat prize Was it a competition or a performance? is unknown should be very lively and here at Lin Heung Tea House I originally thought when I came this morning whether it would be packed Many people, and it’s still Saturday today. Lots of tourists, but it’s okay. The service won’t be inadequate. With so many people, there’s just no way It’s okay If we’re talking about on Xiaohongshu there are two that are very popular—more professionally speaking, they’d be called bakeries One is his and the other starts with a B I think this one would be better Also, the price would be relatively more reasonable Hong Kong audiences might not be very familiar with this Very good It’s not even 9 o’clock in the morning yet. The shop hasn’t opened yet But actually, tourist areas are all like this It’s still early, the tourists haven’t arrived yet Speaking of last night If you’ve been following my videos closely you’ll realize why yesterday suddenly there were no videos coming out from behind because I had a meeting at Times Square last night I also posted about it, it was a YouTube gathering Maybe my channel is too niche And although it’s managed under Hong Kong here Actually, my connection with Hong Kong Isn’t that much So actually, I don’t know most of these bloggers Actually… there’s no “actually,” sorry about that I don’t know any of them Similarly, many people don’t really know me either Most of my audience is probably overseas There are also some in Hong Kong But actually I know There are actually audiences in mainland China too They just use some scientific methods to change the IP address to Hong Kong but in fact, the audience from Hong Kong probably doesn’t account for a large proportion So yesterday I didn’t know any of them Instead, I had longer conversations with a few mainland bloggers They were really funny As everyone knows, Hong Kong people speak in a very amusing way They can speak a complete sentence The weather is nice today, for example this sentence will be mixed with a lot of English words crammed in Occasionally, some Taiwanese YouTube bloggers also come by They are trying very hard to speak Cantonese But there’s also Mandarin mixed in Three different things all jumbled together I’m completely confused listening to it Then there are some bloggers from mainland China Yesterday I met one from Xiamen He basically couldn’t understand The English part was still okay But then English gets inserted in the middle of a sentence When connected, it seems quite strange We Cantonese are the most impressive Actually, if he had just spoken entirely in Cantonese We can provide instant interpretation for you What is he saying in Mandarin, or you can speak Mandarin I can immediately tell you how it would be in Cantonese Right away A group of people queuing up to open bank accounts Hong Kongers who speak Mandarin wouldn’t come this early to queue Because as everyone knows, this bank actually comes from mainland China More gatherings like this would be good, remember to invite me next time If any Hong Kong YouTube management is listening Remember to call me I’d be happy to provide real-time translation for you Enough talk, let’s keep moving forward Let me add one more thing Actually, when the meeting ended last night, it was just past 7 o’clock My original plan was to consider going for another walk around Temple Street But the problem is I looked at the map I can only return to the hotel at 8 o’clock Because I still need to edit the video If I go to Temple Street, what time should I return? Everything afterward got in the way Then I stayed up late again and couldn’t get up early this morning to have tea Everything got messed up So I didn’t go Maybe next time I’ll go to Temple Street You can’t see them in mainland China, but you can in Hong Kong or Macau. Hong Kong has more of them. They’re beautiful cars, luxury cars. They exist in mainland China too, it’s not that they’re absent But the version isn’t that special Now there are friends around me who are already planning to apply for cross-border license plates between China and Hong Kong Actually, I think even if it’s possible to come Or whatever they call “Southbound Hong Kong Vehicles” in the future Actually, there probably won’t be too many people coming Just look at those parking spaces—it’s shocking to see I mean, Guangzhou is already considered expensive But compared to Hong Kong, it’s child’s play. I can only say, I’ve chatted with friends from Hong Kong before. They all said one of the most headache-inducing things is driving. Gas is expensive too OK, no problem, you can drive the tram now. Second, you can go anywhere. But parking is troublesome. For example, in these places, it’s fifty dollars an hour Stunned, fifty dollars an hour You’d spend more than that just eating So even some Just break the rules if you have to, that’s how it is I was at the cha chaan teng at noon yesterday That is, the one in Tsuen Wan Just eating when I heard those few people nearby Including the owner chatting away It’s talking about this matter Oh no, got another ticket while having coffee So unfortunate Talking while walking along It feels like it’s almost time I try to avoid walking in the sun, but it’s still very hot Actually, we could walk underground through the MTR But I prefer shooting outdoors Walk down a street and look at those people This is the essence of this channel There’s good food to eat, and you can eat it I think this is the place Because you can see many flags Placed here, it’s all covered with them Their event is held at the Avenue of Stars It’s all like this all the way over here The awards ceremony probably hasn’t started yet I heard there’s a dragon boat race today So that’s what it is, it’s already begun During the competition These activities are like this, and below are the restaurants. That is, the food festival, the food carnival. Outside is the dragon boat race. It’s to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival Absolutely delicious And right here in front is the sponsor area. Clearly, I’m not. I’ll go down now to take a look below. You can see it from this close. This definitely deserves a LIKE for Hong Kong This is about sharing joy with the people Although it’s all about basking in the sun Isn’t it? Actually, it’s quite close And there’s no need to pay extra Not only that Because Hong Kong has a horse racing culture When they talk about dragon boats They actually speak quite knowledgeably This is the place Many tourists, they must be classmates from the mainland Impressive, so many dragon boat athletes are preparing This is HKBU’s dragon boat There are still many tourists ahead As for us, this way we can see the dragon boat right in front of us Really awesome This spot is really good There will also be railings but not to the extent of exhausting all means making you unable to see that kind I have to vent—it’s practically criticizing the Guangzhou municipal government after all these years We filmed the dragon boat race once and never filmed those organized by the city government again. What was that like? The first dragon boat event was about celebrating with the people. Celebrating with the people was about ensuring everyone had fun under safe conditions Seeing them in the competition The competition results are not important The key is that everyone can see Can they all see it or not There are still plenty of seats available for everyone to see. And our Guangzhou Municipal Government Because they might be more concerned about the safety of citizens Being overly enthusiastic when watching After passion comes danger, falling into the sea is very serious So he used every possible method To make it invisible to us Like what just happened recently Saw it on social media Someone tried to watch at Ersha Island Queued up early, sorry couldn’t see it Someone tried to go to… Over at Zhujiang New Town, you can’t even see it Even if you had grabbed a spot early on Even if you could see it About where would you be positioned Probably seeing the construction work outside there It’s a very wide stretch of water This is how events are organized in Hong Kong At least you can see It’s up to you whether you want to sunbathe or not. In Guangzhou, you can’t even see the sun. This is good enough. And there’s one more thing It was the invited team from Guangzhou Actually, the vast majority were professionals Or semi-professionals Unlike the situation here in Hong Kong For example, just now we saw some who might be university students This is what we call “sharing joy with the people” Actually, I rarely talk about mainland China Such a long passage is poorly drawn But organizing dragon boat events there’s still so much to learn Here, basking in the sun and feeling the sea breeze while admiring the beautiful scenery across the way Although there’s construction work in progress it hasn’t caused any disruptions As you walk by, you’ll see some athletes dragon boat racing athletes Isn’t that great There are also media coming over How is it in Guangzhou Those… I wouldn’t use the term “powerful and privileged” to describe them Actually, they’re just sponsors But actually, they don’t really want to see it that much But those who do want to see it can’t Then we must not let it come to this point Just learn from Hong Kong’s example and it’ll be fine The podium was explained very clearly What were those activities like Introduce each representative team That would be perfect These are because of the horse racing culture support, I think. It doesn’t start until 1 PM. Then I’ll miss it again, can’t make it by 1 o’clock. It’s only 9 o’clock now I have no reason to wait until one o’clock What should we do then? Alright then, I’ll head to Sung Wong Toi first I’ll have some durian first, since that’s part of my plan But I originally planned to leave it until the end Then wait until around 1 PM I’ll come back here To soak in the atmosphere and have a little something to eat then go back to take the high-speed rail return to the hotel go back to the hotel from here it takes an hour either way Then I’ll head to the high-speed rail station, which will take about another hour. I’ll probably leave around 2:30. That should be about right For now, I’ll go to Sung Wong Toi first. to check out the dragon boat Watch the dragon boat Dad will teach you here It’s like watching horse racing Very good Let me talk about it again after so long Actually, in mainland China or the Greater Bay Area Dragon boat racing isn’t that down-to-earth Many are just hired competitions What does it mean? For example, today I actually have a university classmate He was from Nanhai He came here but it’s unclear which team he represented Actually, he wasn’t from that place at all He might have represented a team from Zhaoqing It’s very utilitarian But it’s different here in Hong Kong Or perhaps their speed isn’t frighteningly fast Those on the mainland are already at a professional level You can participate in the Asian Games. It’s not fun to compete with ordinary people. In Hong Kong, it’s for locals to participate. That’s what makes it fun There are more and more people up ahead. There’s also a… what should this be called, a plaque up there. Foreigners are coming to watch, awesome. There will be foreigners coming to compete. Everything is here I wonder if I’ll bump into my classmates Probably not They even have a costume contest Dressing up as a zongzi on the dragon boat—things like that are really fun. I heard the words “Foshan,” so they must be participating. And Shenzhen too. Another dragon boat just passed by us This seems to be the Philippines Then it appears that Foshan ranks 4th Shouldn’t we cheer for Foshan? Number 4 is Shenzhen Nanshan The ones at the back Foshan University also came It’s number 6, they’re like this They didn’t turn back They made a U-turn at the front Each has its own characteristics Foshan seems to be ranked last It seems Foshan really sent some amateur players And just cheering for a moment is all The one from the Philippines has already disappeared Number 6 is here, Foshan Find some female talents, no wonder At least half of them are women As if I’m digging in The drummer has stopped playing Improvise freely Don’t bump into others’ paths and you’ll be fine. As for the champion, they’ve already crossed the finish line. Finally arrived at Kai Tak Exit D. I’m going to Airside When I came here earlier I paid with a UnionPay card That works too. Just add the UnionPay card to Apple Pay and it pops up with one tap I heard there’s a promotion today When there are benefits like these Guangzhou people won’t let them slip by Let’s exit through Exit D first Check how much discount you got when you go out. For UnionPay cards, tap this spot. Alright, that’s shocking. I came from East Tsim Sha Tsui, won’t show the details to everyone 3 cents, it’s 3 cents It’s like getting it for free No mistake, just 3 cents in RMB Which means it’s practically given away Of course you should take these freebies when they’re offered It’s been a long time since the border reopened More and more artists and international superstars are coming to hold concerts Ahead is the Kai Tak Main Stadium It should be the venue for watching concerts Of course, no one comes to concerts now I’ll just come here, it’s more convenient It’s so close anyway Kai Tak Station Airside You have to eat durian inside I will eat my fill today Eat a full meal These properties near the Hong Kong news section are selling very well Some have sea views Still under construction The current time is 10 o’clock There’s plenty of time Take your time to walk and look around here Walk until you’ve had enough, see until you’re satisfied Then head back to East Tsim Sha Tsui The time to return to East Tsim Sha Tsui is 1 o’clock If I had more time I might even go to Central to see that cat exhibition I can’t quite remember what it’s called This one goes until June 30th. Heartwarming Photo Exhibition by the Cat Manager It’s a photo exhibition. I’ll go here first It turns out they sell Teslas here too I’ve been arguing with my wife about this How much does a Tesla cost in Hong Kong Actually it’s about the same as in mainland China Because there’s something called value-added tax on the mainland which Hong Kong doesn’t have But getting a license plate in Hong Kong should be more expensive than on the mainland The cost of getting a license plate on the mainland is shocking Guess how much it is Seems like… Seems like 500 dollars So little that I even forgot Plenty of delicious food, even without the durian exhibition There are also many things to eat, including cakes Candies and light snacks Or bars There are cuisines from all over the world And the doors even open automatically Many shops haven’t opened yet Look, there’s also this Hunan cuisine Finally arrived, did I come too early? I saw on social media that there are many things to play with But why There are also many decorations, but not much atmosphere I think I came too early Good village This one in front should be, I guess… I guess it should be selling things There are many activities Such as the Plant Festival The Mills Never mind, let’s go up and take a look Maybe I got the wrong information But Kai Tak Airside is also one of the places I wanted to visit to check out the new mall The shop is actually rented out But maybe I really came too early Many haven’t opened yet And there are many big brands too Not those substandard brands that just make up the numbers There are people here Could it be that the restaurant hasn’t opened yet So it can’t gather a crowd Is there a possibility that everyone has returned to Shenzhen? I don’t think so. Let’s go ahead first. It’s really big A piece of bad news, a piece of good news The good news is I came to the right place The staff lady was very polite The bad news is it’s actually happening next week What you’re seeing now, dear audience should be just about to start It’s happening from June 13 to June 14 here at Kai Tak Airside When the video is playing If you really love eating durian then come quickly to Kai Tak Airside Since that’s the case, I’ll go take the MTR now Since that’s the case, I must finish watching this Cat exhibition, I’m going to Central It’s only 10 o’clock now, let’s walk around Hong Kong, see Hong Kong The timing is just right March 4 to June 30, 2025 MTR Art – Probably done by MTR Exit J at Central Station Also, it’s very hot today – Guangzhou has already issued a yellow heat warning Finally arrived, but couldn’t eat durian Saw the cat Turns out we didn’t have to walk far This was an MTR event Alliance Community I always enjoy photographing cats Haven’t played with cats in Hong Kong yet Some are quite timid Some are very greedy For example, the one above is a gluttonous cat Some are very alert Like the one below Looking at the convenience store It even helps its owner watch the shop Is it really watching the shop Or is it thinking about something And this one above You can tell this one is very greedy for food This is Mr. Chan’s creation Actually, photographing cats isn’t that easy There are also many in mainland China I can honestly say I think they’re artists specializing in photographing cats Because you simply can’t command them to perform a specific action “Lift your head a little higher” – that just doesn’t exist Taking photos of cats is not easy You capture their expressions Here we’ll also talk about where to find which cats Pistachio Ding Ding Doudou is also available If you’re smart enough You can find it all along the way Which cat is in which shop For example, the one above Yuen Tai Seafood has a fat cat named Mimi Or when Doudou is weighing things to help the boss My wife and I often say, to see if a city is compassionate and civilized, just look at how they treat the cats There was a time when Guangzhou treated cats very poorly I won’t go into the details Now as people have become more enlightened Not as bad as before Very beautiful fur color I really like seeing this kind of cat My wife often asks me If we were to keep a cat what would it be like have you ever imagined or have you ever thought about it If you want to keep a cat it would be like this Look how beautiful the patterns are This should be the cat And also fell asleep The most important thing is sleep Here too, it helps the boss watch over those cardboard boxes From what I know, in Sheung Wan there really are many cats that watch over shops The boss wouldn’t feel that having a cat would hinder business Even if some people come just to take photos without buying anything He’s actually more than happy to welcome them And similarly, on Yide Road in Guangzhou this situation also occurs This is truly a good thing I wonder if there’s a little cat watching there Don’t let those snakes, insects, rats, or ants bite the dried seafood I think it’s possible Look at this one stretching over there But the cat manager works eight hours It’s inevitable to slack off sometimes Sometimes there might be some little friends coming to play with it So happy This kitty is beautiful, look at its fur color Like a leopard And those eyes Full of spirit This cat even climbed onto customers Or this one, looks quite fierce But when it sees people it becomes very gentle Not sure if this is the right way to put it—very tender This exhibition is primarily photo-based And it’s not particularly large in scale It’s quite distinctive Actually, I think Guangzhou should learn from this I’ve learned it, but not in such detail. Impressive, about to go in for the kiss. That kitty, but seems a bit resistant. Here, keeping an eye on the entrance is most important Or perhaps Serving dishes for the boss’s wife Leading the way Sister forgot which table it was I remember now This cat is so funny Look at its nose a bit of ink or perhaps the pharmacy owner below placing medicine on the cat absorbing some spiritual energy Do cats really like drinking soda? Not surprising Another wish fulfilled This wish was successfully achieved This exhibition runs until the end of June If you happen to pass by Central Station and want to go somewhere nearby you can conveniently stop by here Looking at some cat photos Now I’m leisurely heading back Because I need to go to East Tsim Sha Tsui Or maybe just walk around near K11 first It’s actually not too far to go to East Tsim Sha Tsui Because I need to be there by 1 o’clock It’s just 11 o’clock now Talking while walking along This episode ends here, see you next episode See you tomorrow We’re going to the Dragon Boat Carnival See you next episode, bye-bye Share my video with your friends And don’t forget to hit LIKE for me Come back and see the cats when you have the chance And I think, just one more nagging word If you really want to experience Hong Kong’s tea-drinking culture Actually, going to Central here for dim sum at the old Lin Heung Tea House After tea, it’s better to come see the cats bye-bye

Established in 1889 Guangzhou (originally “Lin Heung Lau”), Lin Heung relocated to 160 Wellington Street, Central, in 1927, standing as Hong Kong’s last century-old trolley dim sum teahouse. Renowned for its “three traditions” (hand-pushed carts, tea-brewing in lidded bowls, paper dim sum cards), it earned Michelin Bib Gourmand (2019). Signature dishes like lotus seed paste buns, pork liver siu mai, and chicken buns follow 1920s recipes (filling preparation starts 4am daily). The space preserves green-white mosaic floors, ceiling fans, spittoons, and 1940s rosewood booths, while its upstairs bakery sells traditional wedding pastries (walnut cookies, wife cakes). Ownership disputes unfolded—original operators vacated in 2019, with staff founding “Lin Heung Tea Room” at the same address; trademark holders relaunched “Lin Heung Lau” in Sham Shui Po (2022). Historic artifacts remain: 1927 cast-iron coin box, handwritten dim sum menu (200+ items), and brass tea master kettles. Accessible via MTR Central Station Exit D2 (5-min walk) or tram “Pottinger Street” stop, embodying Hong Kong’s culinary heritage evolution.

Hong Kong’s Avenue of Stars, located along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, is a renowned landmark paying tribute to the Hong Kong film industry. Originally opened in 2004, it reopened in 2019 after a major renovation. Stretching approximately 440 meters, the avenue features over 100 celebrity handprints and signature plaques of international icons like Jackie Chan, Maggie Cheung, and Tony Leung. It also showcases bronze statues of legendary film figures, including Bruce Lee and Anita Mui, alongside the animated character McDull, allowing visitors to take close-up photos. The design incorporates cinematic elements such as star-studded railings and film-reel installations, with the Victoria Harbour light show enhancing its brilliance at night. Additional facilities include the “Avenue of Stars Cinema” screening classic Hong Kong film clips and a “Star Souvenir Shop.” Open 24 hours daily with free admission, the best time to visit is at dusk to enjoy the harbour nightscape. Nearby attractions include K11 MUSEA, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, and the Clock Tower, with easy access via a 5-minute walk from Exit J of MTR East Tsim Sha Tsui Station.
