gloves it is Levitross the emissary of infinite wisdom being wielded by a knock to greater heights Meanwhile in the bottom corner it’s the dark horse of the entire deluxe tournament Mei Jewel with his signature drag deck the Draonic Flames the all four and five of them bringing karmic justice to the Hermit Dragon potentially Let’s find out And with me as a co-host today we have once again Ark Soul What do you think about this matchup this match is truly going to be one that shakes the heavens Here we have the Dustin King himself versus the versus Ignis himself Two fighters who fought tooth and nail and two fighters who also rep who in a way represent the fighters that they represent from the anime really well like with Mi Joel representing literally the second coming Mishu in this tournament It felt like just watching the animated throughout this tournament when he whenever he picks up the deck And Anox just being the Destin King he has definitely proven himself probably one of the strongest levies as players we have seen in our in the tournament Yeah th this is a great example of it isn’t just about the decks It’s also about the pilots Their intelligence as fighters their ability to harmonize their decks is going to be very crucial in this matchup here Both decks kind of embody that polarity between opposites right whereas in the top corner we have a very stable deck with a lot of defensive options the bottom corner here has one of the most explosive burst oriented deck strategies in the entire tournament Something that has really blown through the competition up until the top eight here But when these two forces of opposites collide which is going to prevail and become the greater force moving on to the top four we’re about to find out Now then say it with me y’all Stand up here Zongard Vango [Music] My turn I draw Okay looks like we’re beginning with Levy Dress which is does not is that that’s definitely not great for Dragil Unfortunately Dragold more or less needing to go first to keep up tempo but thankfully Dragil does have access to potentially a solid lister because Liss Arer can do a reset even against a grade two So they still have some offensive potential when going second thanks to that nice update there Discarding a Levy Dress from the hand Now that is something that you don’t generally see because that’s a very hard card to recur back to the hand unless you’re running some particular generics So having to discard that might say a lot about the state of Anox’s hand at the moment Riding into score piercer and getting the energy generator Let’s see if there’s anything else they want to go with the start I’ll pass it to you [Music] And he did mention though like Judge Joel having issues going second But we’ve seen throughout the tournament though even in the fights that were not shown with Micho that a lot of his fights there were some fights where he had to go second and he still managed to like make it work in his favor as if like nullifying the whole going second issues Yeah In a way it sort of embodies the counter uh the counterfighter style that Mei Joel has brought forth to this tournament Right As the Supreme Dark Horse he’s had to fight against the grain all the way through Ooh calling down Ailia and going for a sweet 21 against the Destined King here What’s nice about this is he’s able to still get the min max on his resources being able to use energy generator to draw as well So he’s definitely opening up the correct pieces in order to mitigate having to go second here I mean the harmony between Meill and Dragold is unparalleled here Now he’s going in for 21 against a knock Let’s see if he takes No good drive check Here’s a front trigger Okay at least it wasn’t a crit but a front trigger though and the 20k from one at that That’s definitely going to help him when the Imperial drops out drop comes out later on Filo will pop the soul and I draw a card fast [Music] Hydra activating skill I don’t discard for right side [Music] dragon attack for 10k a conservative attack pattern and me jewel is saying no thank you giving an ot to pass ah mytharch habitat has the drive check so that doesn’t break through all right jewel minmaxing the damage right there that was no hesitation on that card very well played on turd energy I did a crit and then I ride junior I call Joel Corore from heal trigger coming on down but unfortunately not very meaningful in this situation when no damage is there to be provided but at least it’s another defensive card for BG Joel Yep And an extra power for one of those extra rear guards and presumably Yep going to Zagan there as now both will be able to hit over defensive if a knock takes on the second swing 20 [Music] bad Oh [Music] god Oh taking another onfall onto Gast as damage right there That is unfortunate If he hasn’t seen an onfall I mean that is one of the most important pieces of levy dress Not It’s the only way to achieve a fifth attack in the deck in addition to being one of the most crucial energy blast users 23 then now 23 Uh 25 Having to double guard Unfortunately one of the consequences of going first means that this particular heal trigger doesn’t get its effect because it requires the opponent to be at a higher grade than your vanguard Presumably this was to try and counteract having to go second but also because it counters when Ignis comes to the field being a great Leon but it’s not useful here It wasn’t enough to complete the guard All right B2 being able to go for a lot of swift offense there and pushing the the king over to two That’s not too much damage but it did drain a lot of resources for a knock So we’d probably going to see a lot of Infinity Eyes on the opponent’s side of the field just to try and hold it off There’s another Levy Dross is good going first tempo wise with offense as well but that’s also its main weak point cuz it uses a lot of guard and it can’t stable its pieces fast enough I had Imperial to handicize being able to add Imperial from the deck to the hand there and putting in the base levy chest Well this isn’t a shocker considering that he discarded less from the hand So he must have already had one from that point Now three Infinity Eye markers Let’s see how many are going to go on either side of the [Music] field All right two to the opponent And seems there’s a bit of thought on where the third one’s going to be placed And it’s going to the back row left for a knock Nice Use meteor Mytharch habitat’s coming on down He’s sequencing this correctly because if he if he calls something like an onfall and deos or something else that requires infidi markers like hulie he’ll be able to trigger it optimally because he has three IEs now This is sometimes a common uh missse sequencing error Ah and there is the hulie just as promised All right see being one to call back down and get another 10,000 power right there Very nice and getting back the squirrel that he just guarded with Very efficient One of the nice things here for Nakisai he won’t have to worry about field removal immediately unless there’s a Bristol Gailor because it isn’t until Ignis at the back wipe comes into fruition However one thing I’m noticing is there’s no chararma as of yet That could pose a problem Yep Completely different deck with Sharma and without Sharma and Onfall coming on down All right Now Onfall being able to use the last of the energy to look at the top two What are the chances he sees Sarmat i wonder Bottom Hopefully Ah declaring bottom for the other card there So we didn’t see a trigger off the top too Looked like All right Looks like the Destin King is setting up some pretty good board and he’s going into combat right now So we’re going to be sticking on that Nice No Go All right I’m taking a damage O and it looks like Dragile Ignis gets damage checked there That’s not where you want to see that 26 No guard check Oh critical trigger coming in for the Destin King right here Getting a nice bit of extra damage there And that’s just the first check And looks like the other bit of power is going to be going on the squirrel as it can be a booster for onfall Second check is just a huli Another turn though Oh that’s another whiff heal trigger from Mei Jewel Unfortunately oh man there may be a cascade effect here of denying that initial damage But how could he have known he doesn’t have the ability to see in the future like that But the double defensive coming on down that might be enough to stop this really huge column inherently deny And now thanks to the skill of Valcia you’ll be able to put in the Ignis for an extra 20,000 power And because of the skill of Filia Filia is going to get 5,000 power Put it at a grand considering that debate it might mean he doesn’t have a levy dress in the hand to use So now it’s going to come down to does he want an egg one from the hand for two markers want a CB for two markers it’s like you mentioned earlier with the first turn Will that cascade effect come back to bite him when he had to discard the levy drift turn one that’s it All right he’s going divine skill right here another hulie Okay just instead stopping right there to get onfall onto Gostum to the field All right this is his last chance to try and potentially dig for another key piece I also notic there’s no Foxill right now so he’s also getting hamstring in other ways put top All right other cards putting on top Oh he got a Levy dress What are the chances he saw that off the onfall on a Dosta right there what What a nice sequence Okay and now he’s able to make more markers It looks like uh we’re going to see though how many he’s going to put on the opponent’s side of the field Ah he’s putting two markers on Let the Arcer side to try and mitigate the restand effect here But if I don’t meet you Joel he’s just gonna try and plow right through that for the kill anyway Indeed Indeed All right And now looks like onfall and Josh is moving up there leaving an open IE in the back row so that the squirrel will be able to come in here Here comes Levy 51k on top Perfect garden All right just bring it All right it’s possible we may have seen OT on that top to help out Nope Okay it’s another trusty it’s another trusty heal trigger for a knock to try and mitigate damage We’ve said it many times here this is a pretty classic thing for a knock to be able to see some heals here But let’s see if he can if he can’t get enough to try and mitigate the vicious Ignis coming in Considering Ignis just got discarded from the hand it means we already we can assume that he has another Ignis in the hand to ride as it is You only need one to ride for the entire game A very nice stability point of that card All right so second check is a persona ride which is nice for the next turn but it’s not going to help survive the upcoming turn here So there’s a bit of a cost benefit to seeing that at this stage All right now Squirrel is going to be coming on in One of the nice things uh one of the nice things here for Vichy Jewel is he could just straight up take both of these attacks without consequence and just go to four because there’s no multiattack here There’s no crit There’s no guard restricts or on hits These are just very plain Jane numbers Yeah Okay And it’ll also turn on like any other heals that he has left in his deck alive as well 100% All right The the destined king uh the destined king is finds himself in a bit of a pickle here Ah he’s attacking the armor Good and he takes it without delay [Music] uh tank as well for 58 All right the Destiny King pulling out a trick from the previous fight to try and uh limit the offense of the next turn But this may be encouraging to beat you If he does have the pieces to recoup from it then that just means that his opponent wasted a grand opportunity to put some pressure on him But let’s see if he if that matters or not It’s my turn I draw and charge I ride demonic jewel through dragons rajled to ign the harbor of the five jewels Shinma holder of you has entered the field I call litho sar and then draw a card Calling abyssal sar right there Very nice I call another litho sar and draw a card I think double Oh and knock has to be kicking himself right now He took a bet that he wouldn’t have the other lithos but unfortunately Dragel already saw too that he had the pieces he needed for this All right now the draw has resolved Let’s see what else he can do about this turn [Music] We already know from the soul that he has all the grades that he’s going to need for this turn right here Ooh Zagon coming in All right soul charging a drag Ignis A very optimal soul charge at this stage of the game and he can call back Affilia there One of the good news for Ano though is that even if he double intercepts he’s still going to have more rear guards than Filia’s requirement would allow So regardless he’ll be able to stop the filia Okay declaring Dragile Dignness So we’re going to be entering beginning of battle phase putting in cards from the drop into the soul and giving 15,000 power Those infinity eyes will definitely help to stave off this offense but he’s got to hurry and kill in the following turn if he does lift this because multiple turns against Ignis are just not feasible You mentioned burst turn but I mean this is just a machine gun at this point man It is a gatling gun of destruction Constantly firing without fail without hesitation Attacks the Vanguard for 35 [Music] All right 35,000 on the Vanguard right away Such a massive attack Even double IE wouldn’t have been able to done it but he can only do one at a time So at max you’ll be able to put it down to 25 and potentially guard it Yeah or at least trigger All right Infinity Eising right there which is not a surprise Now let’s see what Anak will be able to guard with in addition to that unless he wants to take the damage here but against Dragil that’s that’s rarely a good idea Ah guarding with the heal trigger Again the heal trigger not being able to show his true value unfortunately as the extra 5k is just an overguard Feel a boost and then litho attacks 33 Well no 43 Interesting All right Coming coming in hot for 43 This one does have an as well to come down to 33 if a knock wants to take it but oh shoot And then from there I mean he’s this is going to be real bad or he might try to hold it on for the resend potentially It’s possible No good He’s no guarding it and he’s also not using an IE getting a trigger Oh but that’s not going to work against drag is just going to go right back down to zero Ignore blast five cards in the soul different grades Retire the karmic flames are going to come down and punish the opponent Now the back row is gone And in addition to that there’s going to be a grand total of zero to that entire front row which completely outshines the front sugar that was gone It’s like the antithesis of it In fact what a thematic turn of events there Yeah I’m like this returning everything to zero Are we sure we’re not watching a Blaire match oh man I I can agree with that one right there Especially considering that both blame buyer and it are the two so are the two dark sage decks still in this tournament Ah elementaritude coming on down So not being able to see the best defensive line against And given the size of BG’s hand with only two damage there’s almost certainly going to be another turn Definitely All right All these cards coming back to the hand there And now there’s two attacks raring to go against a zero K face Woo man Dra really making the most out of having to go second against Levy Dra of all things 45 that bad 45 I have two criticals against the zero IE coming on in but lithoscer coming in It’d be foolish to boost at this point So he might he may as well just go in natty 35 at 35 I.e once more getting burned to draw Maybe a knock can get something good here Okay And now it’s going to be a total of 25 Asking for 30 shield to properly stop this attack We know he has a 20 custom drop which is 15 That means if he can just find himself another 15 minimum shield he can survive this But again this is just the first Ignis turn Mhm Oh going in And he’s probably going to do a double intercept Yeah he’s doing a double intercept All right then So he’ll be able to guard the line on 30 and keep the twin cast there for next turn when he has to go on the defense again But with that that brings Shin Mahoryu’s first grade four turn to an end My goodness Ignis definitely just literally burned everything in its path That is just devastating Now Filia going to soul but not because of its own skill but rather because of the detrimental skill of Zagon For the viewers out there who might be thinking that Meil may have attempted to try and activate that He was just fulfilling the end of turn clause of Zagon Now another Persona ride Again not a surprise there as we’ve already seen that Levy Dress was getting it off the twin drive there Okay now the Dustin King has one last chance to make a difference Will he be able to do this [Music] final four guys Ooh getting heals but that’s still just a measly four damage with two to go Okay and now that’s one damage going over to Mei Jewel putting him up to three He can still take most of this a turn and not even flinch there Yeah even so Yeah the the Oh and on top of that it’s like Joel’s hand is so big It’s like it really depends how much can I knock truly just eat away at it this turn Mhm All right He’s going for 30 lit though Again a Knox trying to stall to the bitter end against a offensively superior opponent and he lets it go He lets it [Music] go All right looks like onfall on toast is going bye-bye presumably for a charmet swing here Uh 43k All right he’s going another lithoser classic knock strat here man He will not let him have those rear guards But at the same time he’s also given up on any chance of victory on this turn Very ballsy here Uh 50 Good He guards with the overt trigger to stop that Oh I forgot to use skill Oh forgetting to use Char forgetting to use Charmet’s skill there But again coming on down to the draw here So that’s a five card hand in addition to uh presumably two cards from Infinity Guy for seven cards So seven cards is going to have to go up against the dragon of five flames Will it be able to do so especially with uh still a pretty decent hand here from Beich Joel We’re going to find out Now as we know from earlier Varula did get seen in the drive check So this doesn’t So this means that there’s still a great potential for me to be able to do some restand combos especially because there’s an open space without an IE in the back row that he could use But the looping luggazer really did limit his attack potential this turn though Enough knock for the kill Knock knock for the kill was probably for was probably for the best in a sense Yeah Oh okay Zagon coming on down calling Falcratia Very nice And then also calling Barkula from the hand of course And if I if I understand what he’s going to go for he’s going to try and go for another Falcratia effect here uh to get a bunch of beatd down power So yeah we’re going to be we’re going to be asking for PGs which I believe two are already gone So there’s only a maximum of two that Anak could use to try and stop this four attack turn And that includes the elementaria sanctitude as well All right Anoch has been playing a very defensive gambit but will that wise play prove to be unwise as we go into the fifth turn for Dragil let’s find out It seems like the board is set up and Viji Jewel is ready to rumble Seems there’s a moment of consideration here What do you think about the about the game state thus far Arxol this has been honestly this is only our second top eight match but it is honestly just as explosive as the first one Um these matches the the the the chess match that we are witnessing between these two mighty dragons and this it is it’s like you think it’s like we think we know what’s going to happen next but then they just pull one over us and they just keep finding ways to surprise us Going to make 53 All right Going 53 on the Vanguard it looks like Does he pop the IE now or does he save up for yeah this has got to be scary for Levy Dross here He’s uh he’s he might be running out of ways to stop this uh this dragon at this point Even even just this simple four attack turn it doesn’t use any CV whatsoever The only resource that it needs is soul which he can constantly build back So Ano Knock may Ano Knock may be finding that it’s not that easy to stop Dragil Yeah even getting rid of this little guys just seemed like it just wasn’t enough cuz he was just able to rebuild his board right but it was always a gambit He was always testing BG’s hand because he’s seen a fair bit of triggers so far So he may have he may have assumed that those crucial pieces couldn’t come back into the field of play But one thing he may have not realized about this as well is that there’s always potential for Dragil to bring back from the drop zone into the soul as well So he could see another Zag and later on he might be able to recur back But with so many out now let’s see it’s even possible anymore Let’s see I see one and two on the field and three on the field That’s that’s it So there may even be potential for another one later if you want to go for that play All right this is probably the most crucial moment of the game here What’s the Destin King going to go for is he going to take this attack or is he going to try and guard it with what he has 53 is pretty insane Even if it goes down to 43 because of IE that’s still like a magic number That still requires 35 guard just to accomplish a complete guard against uh infinity ice All right he’s going to burn the IE He doesn’t want to take any chances here It looks like 43 Now that’s a 35 shield if you can cop that off Or will he still take it n he’s Yep That’s wise He’s got to he’s got to guard this while he has a chance and twin cast from drop sh He’s going twin cast from drop zone Okay he’s able to guard that attack Now here comes Shin Mahoryu once more being able to use the skill here Oh boy this is going to be the big one I wonder what kind of fireworks are going to happen for me here Now luckily unlock doesn’t have anything in the back rear guard for Ignis to retire but everything is turning to open once more Two crits All right 38 with two criticals and now the entire front row has zero power This is this and not being able to see another PG Very nice Okay it seems the card draw has not failed Check one is a no trigger [Music] Check two is a front trigger though Oh that’s some power Okay And there’s a critical here as well And there’s a critical to boot against it Oh if he puts it on the girl Yep He’s going to put it all on servaria which will get her 20,000 powered edition If enough doesn’t specifically have a PG in his hand right now or an OT guard it’s going to kill Oh that is absolutely devastating Talk about being dead to right The pivotal moment when he needed it and they just the power of the triple drive The third drive being the most crucial one here And of course he’s coming in withia And why not put in the biggest one he’s got going in for true dark horse of the tournament Beaches being able to take down his daunting vicious foe What an upset Despite having to go second he managed to play this perfectly seeing exactly what he needs to He’s playing every turn out through a very meticulous plan He guards everything so precisely being able to go through the correct attack patterns minmax against IE and constantly see the cards he needs to see to go into the grind game It’s not an easy feat to deck out Levy Dross But boy howdy he sure did it and he did it in style But congrats over to Levy Dross as well for putting on a fantastic show Being able to show the full range of abilities that Levios has disposal thanks to its wide array of different toolbox options draws revives huge numbers restanding boosters and potentially attackers getting the defensive bonuses and the offensive bonuses of IE Levy Dress was basically the Swiss Army knife of decks in this format And holy crap he definitely showed us every different function that had available to it What did you think about this fight Arxel these two players were just on a different dimension than us right now Just like Mhm Prager’s going left and right The reversal from two to four on both sides the the meticulous planning as you mentioned with Michel and Anog I don’t think I don’t like I think no matter how many times you me the audience here can will rewatch this fight I don’t think there’s going to be many if any any errors at all that you can probably pinpoint from this match Both of them played to the best of their abilities They played absolutely flawlessly They played locked in to the from beginning to end and just in the end it’s like you said not many decks can deck out Levy Dress but somehow it managed to do it He managed to do it and this was likely due to Levy trying to take out Lithos instead of prioritizing the offense It was afraid of dying too early but unfortunately it just played into Draul’s hands is is his ability to have the stable Vanguard is just all-encompassing It’s too much for this deck to be able to handle It was an insane match all around And both of these fighters definitely showed what their decks were made of and also what they as players are made of And now with that Meiji Jill and Dragil is going to be heading to the top four to face off against Duck and his heroes deck That is going to be a whole different can of worms to go over when we get to that point But before we can even hit that point we still have two more matches left in the top eight Blame Demmer versus Impalio and Estasion
