What will Unika PLAY like in GUILTY GEAR STRIVE?

Hey, Unico is releasing Guilty Gear Strive. Let’s talk about what her move set could be. Warning you though, this video definitely has spoilers for Guilty Gear Strive dual rulers, so go watch that first. Okay, we’re on episode 5 right now, so expect spoilers up to then. Thank you. I’m just going to jump straight into it. I think she’s a summoner character that also has zoning capabilities. Now, I say summoning character, not puppet character. You might be wondering what that means. For a quick comparison, Jacko and Strive is a puppet character. However, Jacko in Zerg is a summoner character. This is because in Zerg, there is no extra input to make the minions attack. They do it themselves completely autonomously. Basically, it’s like mini fast. With that explanation out of the way, I’ll say why I think this is. Throughout the entirety of the show, Una has been shown to spawn several little guys that attack autonomously from her who have appeared in two main ways. Either directly from her body or from sparks in the ground she used with projectiles. These summons, which we’re going to call little guys for the time being, seem to be very easily defeated in one hit. There could be a mouth mechanic involved with them, but Soul and Sin are some of the strongest [ __ ] in the series. So, I believe that they will have some sort of health mechanic beyond one hit. There’s also the factor there’s more than one type of summon. There’s a big summon, a big little guy. It could have more health in exchange for a longer startup time of coming out or a potentially used meter. Absolutely. damage sponging some [ __ ] that your opponent froze out. Due to the factor of having more than one entity on screen would be overwhelming for different consoles. I think there would be a maximum of three little guys being able to summon. And depending on the way of summoning them or the input you did, like say punch, kick, heavy slash, slash, they’ll do different attacks to start out with when they’re summoned. There could also be a feature where if you hold the button, it becomes the bigger summon, therefore taking more time to come out. But I’ve spent enough time talking about the fact that she can just easily summon little guys. Let’s talk about other factors of her kit. Despite what everyone said about this, I don’t think Unico’s wings are going to be usable in game. I think they’re going to be for an intro/altro segment for her character because last time we got wings in this game, they didn’t provide anything to a character besides chip damage on block. So, I don’t think any extra air mobility is in our future. I’m sorry. However, it seems for defensive options, Unica will have a counter of sorts. She’s been shown to have a magnetic shield that repels projectiles and can be assumed that it would repel attacks, too. Also, it seems from the shield state, she can tether onto the opponent attacking her, seemingly to smash him into a wall or something. On top of her defensive options and her summons, she also seems to have a laser beam, which I speculate will be a 50% tension super. The reason why I suspect it will be a super is it literally clashes with Ride the Lightning in the show. That is a 50% tension super. Only supers can really clash with supers, unless if you’re using a DP, but a laser beam isn’t a DP. So, I don’t know. Come to your own conclusion, Lauo. But actually, then again, Tatami beat it. So, I don’t know. I also assume she’ll have quick projectiles just from this. So, yeah, that’s all my speculation so far. Now, I want to hear what you think. Do you think Una is going to be another zoner, or is she going to be something completely new and different like a summoner? Me personally, I don’t know. I’d love to hear what you think.     Last season was rushdown season, it makes sense that this'd be the zoner season(season 5 is grapplers)

    She spams her electric grab thing way too much for that not to be a move in the game. Also in the last episode she did a dragon install pose while doing a power up in a suspiciously high budget scene. I'm pretty sure she will have an install of some sort. Maybe she uses blue lightning in normal mode and in install all of her moves are now infused with red lightning
