Series so far is full of 70s giant robot anime tropes
Giant robot comes out the pool, rocket punches, ludicrous weapons activated by shouting the weapon names, unnecessarily convoluted transformation sequences.
As a big fan of the original UFO Robot Grendizer I'm still prefer it But despite some things like the minor characters design and the movements and feeling it was a bit rushed after Vega's attack , it was a very good 1st episode and now waiting for more Now that we heard the space thunder shout , I'm waiting for screw crusher punch , double harcken & my favorite weapon , hand beam
Original series wasn't recognized well in japan because Koji wasn't the same Koji from Mazinger Z. But here they did him dirty by making Mazinger too inferior to grendizer.
