I didn't expect this scene, and I definitely didn't expect it to hit SO hard. Loving someone who doesn't even realize you love them, not being able to find the words to tell them, not being able to show your emotions openly…and then this one moment where she can come out from behind the facade if just for a moment…it's heart breaking

You know looking at their skill sets. It is pretty clear as to WHY Fiona is not the right partner for Loid in this mission.

Assassins: Literally are definition of Laying and waiting. They are to carry out their mission when they least expect it. And to leave no trace of an assassination of a target.
I am not saying this out of spite for Fiona. For Loid taught her how to not show your emotions or empathy for that matter. Fiona may or may not have a sibling. But she did raised herself. That means she had to learn by herself. Yor has a sibling. She had to learn to be patient, caring, and yes her flaw being a lack less cook. That is what makes her seem normal. Loid IS yin the perfect cover. Plus, Fiona a just wants Loid. Being a wife means you are accepting what comes with your partner. Fiona isn’t even willing to understand Anya.
I forget if they answered this but….why isnt Fiona his wife? It seems like a much better idea. I get that they probably didn’t have any agents who were children or could pass for children, but why not have two agents who could be the parents? The way it is now he has to account for two X factors he can’t control instead of one. Not to mention that the fact that he found a random age-appropriate woman who was fine pretending to be his wife while actually helping to raise his “daughter” is kind of crazy and weird that nobody at the spy agency has questioned it. My first thought would be that she was a counter-agent.
Technically she isn't wrong. She is best to be his wife since Twilight is doing all this for the sake of the mission. How Anya feels is irrelevant and technically Twilight is just using both her and Yor for the sake of the mission.

In the manga, She Broke her arm and leg protecting Loid from the enemy spy who nearly killed and exposed Loid and the enemy was so strong, Fiona seeing Loid being knocked out enraged her and attacked recklessly and broke her arm next her leg and won the fight.

There is a NIGHT and DAY difference between Yor and Fiona.
Fiona is the kind of woman who'll sacrifice herself for Loid.
Yor is the kind of woman who'll sacrifice herself for Loid AND Anya, the child who is the reason the family feels wholesome and warm.
The way Fiona currently is, she will never truly be a good wife or mother
Man, We all know where the story is going with the Loid-Anya-Yor dynamic; specially Yor and Loid slowly building and discovering feelings for each other and both gradually acknowledging Anya as their child as much as Anya already considers them her parents, but Fiona's feelings for Loid are the most intense and outright authentic there; she is one who really understands him and THE one who since before the beginning of the story has been authentically in love and wishing to be his wife. Poor woman, I hope her feelings are acknowledged and after that she gets a happy ending, maybe a possible future Fiona/Yuri ship? Who knows?
