Clarification on the hot take when it comes to silence:
I am never justifying silence in this context, I was just making a really profound comparison.
All I am saying, is that silence isn’t as bad as people making money off of; Or, leaching off of victims of sexual assault or rape and make their trauma content. Because, silence gets the victims closer to justice (getting their rapists and/or predators to justice), especially if they lived their lives in fear (nobody should). No justice is served if it’s just content and not genuinely for a better purpose. Especially accounting for what the MeToo movement has done to the credibility of sexual assault or rape victims because other shitty women lie.
