SPOILERS: This makes me feel even worse for Tsuruno in this situation then the game did.
Idk but it really just made me realize that this is Tsuruno’s friend group, people she saw as family. And one of her family members died a horrific and painful death. And the others lied to her about it, and never told her the truth until Mifiyu tried to recruit her a few years later. (Spoiler for anyone who hasn’t played the game)
No wonder her hypnotization was the strongest out of her Sana and Felicia. This combined with all the stress and pent up emotions she bottled up must’ve caused a mental breakdown for her.
I wonder the reason why she became a witch is the fact that she used up all of her magic at once and accepted that she was going to die afterwards. Or was it something else?
To be honest, it makes me hella sad Mel had to be the one to become a witch. She had a very sweet and kind personality plus her powers seem very interesting to me (even if it can be a double edge sword). It was kinda refreshing to see her become a witch tho, since I had already got used to the doppel system anyways.
As much as I love the concept of witches and their labyrinths it's a real shame some of those setting are one off, the labyrinth in this fight was stunning
I just realized that mel’s faith could have been bc of yachiyo (yachiyo wished “to survive”) bc of this wish, everytime yachiyo was in a situation wherein it looks she will die, some other magical girl will die in her place.
It honestly makes me sad we didn’t see sayaka use her actual last move in the timeline she slayed the witch but did she save anyone from a fatal attack, did she know it would be her last and did she have the law of cycles in mind? It could’ve been a spectacle, but probably would’ve killed the momentum so I guess it’s fine
Madoka really is something special. Every single girl as they’re turning into a witch accepts it, accepts that things are horrible, gives into their despair. Sayaka did it and declared she was stupid. Homura did it (even though Madoka saved her with a last minute grief seed) by saying they should become witches together and destroy the world. In the “different story” manga series, mami said she’d become a witch so she could never be alone again, she’d stay with her familiars, while Mel said it wasn’t unlucky or the worst at all…
And then there’s madoka. The girl who said “there’s awful, horrible things in this world. But there’s a lot of things worth protecting too” the girl that wants to save people, even up to the very end.
0:16 RASPBERRY, the Critic Witch. Her nature is authority. A witch who passionately endeavors to sort out that which has value from that which does not. She apparently stabs stakes into the valueless things, and hands flowers to the valuable things, but it’s extraordinarily rare for anything besides the witch herself to receive a flower. Her standards of arbitration are unclear. Her Labyrinth is filled with light in the colors of the things and people that have been crushed by her stakes.
1:27 ETTEILLA, the Fortuneteller Witch. Her nature is Disclosure. A witch who single-mindedly attempts to uncover the truth within the various destinies that are consolidated in her barrier. Able to gaze across past, present and future, she feels joy at the fact that all destinies are hers alone to know, and ceaselessly turns over the tarot cards atop her table. If a visitor were to arrive, she would believe them to be someone who’d recognize her power, and would gladly unveil the truths enclosed within them. But the truths that become visible aren’t always happy– and on top of that, accepting them as truth will prompt the witch to turn you into her apprentice, rendering escape impossible. If you were to oppose her, it’s said that she would show you every suffering imaginable.
Something eerie I noticed. After Mifuyu asks Iroha "What happens if a Soul Gem gets murky?", Mel's witch makes a strange noise at 1:36 that vaguely sounds like the word "ma…jo…", the Japanese word for witch, almost as if she was answering said question.

Btw Mel thinks this was her luckiest day even though she became a witch because she was able to protect the person who she looked up to
What makes it more fucked up is that fucking Mifuyu is using her own friend as an example to convince others to join the Magius. Fuck Mifuyu
Mel's last attack was a reflection of the year spread.
What happens? Why Godoka don't come to this world? D;

Y así Mel se quedó con la custodia de las pibes.
It looks like they just cropped it from the game or something.

At least she died happy, unlike 99.9% of other witches.

Sayaka, Nagisa, (aka charlotte) and the rest of the meguca from ep 12: first time?
Haven't even watched Magia Record but I've watched Madoka Magica, I'm already tearing up for these poor girls
Watching this after finding out tsuruno killed mel's witch
What did mel do exactly
The labyrinth the girls fight In before Mel becomes a witch is so unique.
Raspberry's labyrinth looks beautiful
And Reincarnated as Noelle(Genshin)
At first I thought it was a doppel but if that was the case then there would have not been a grief seed 😕😔
Fun fact: Mel Anna is voiced by Kanon Takao, VA of Noel the Knight Maid from Genshin Impact, and also Kagome from MagiReco Game.

It sad that a cute magical girl turn into the ugliest things afterwards

I feel bad for Mel Chan
