The fact she can’t communicate and gets over stimulated by thunder kinda makes me think she’s neurodivergent or something…I mean it’s modeled after a cat but it still gives me some stim vibes.
The mom's face at the end reminds me of something funny. I'm reading an indi book series called 'The Path Of Ascension'. Basically set in a universe where everyone has at least one superpower and can 'level up', if a person (or magical animal) gets to lvl15 they can no longer die of old age or mundane illness. Oh and its in the VERY distant future. Kinda like DnD in space. The two MC's are a boy and a girl. The girl is the daughter of some VERY important people and, she's trying to make her way in the world sans their help, basically proving to herself and others that she has value other than being their daughter. She meets the other MC who…well he has abilities and potential that make him… Well his ability grow exponentially so if he survives he'll be on par with her parents some day. So she's conflicted about accepting his help. She's also super attracted to him and he's a really kind, caring individual and, a direct quote from the book, 'it doesn't help that my parents will LOVE him.'
Any ladies reading this, how bad is the hesitance when the guy you like turns out to be someone your parents would immediately and wholeheartedly approve of just out of pure rebellion. (oh and she's like 17)
At the end of the first book they are NOT dating but the will they/won't they energy is strong and the narrative goes to her parents who've been monitoring their progress. Her mother at one point said, 'I want to watch my new son in law some more' (high leveled people in this universe can pretty much spy on anyone they want from literal galaxies away) …they aren't even dating and her parents are all but planning the wedding. (maybe the 'all but' part could even be left out)
The mc in this anime is cringe af like probably one of most cliché I have seen. The side characters are just over the top mess except nijima and overall its not worth watching. There are a few good scenes but if a 4 hour show of 12 episodes doesn't have a 1 min or 2 fun moments then its just a masterpiece
