It’s a fun show! There is a contrast between the CG backgrounds at times, but I like the over the top reaction faces and it feels like a 90s anime at times due to the mix of genres.
I enjoyed it quite a bit. Bonus for rare red head protag
I started watching this show and to tell you the truth was put off by the art. Hearing your recommendation made me want to give it another chance
I like it, it’s pretty funny 😂
Yehh please watch this pure masterpiece 😂😂😂! It's soo funny it deserves your attention 🙏✨✨ especially the plot twist, it was very surprising 👍
Yes I loved and enjoyed this show! I agree with all your points about the show! And I love momohekiiiiiii! And her love for her cat momoheki!
I binged the Romantic K series just last night.
Not something for me at first but when I watched further I noticed moments of heart and funny moments within the 12 episode series.
Some serious moments especially when it came to that Stalker woman who was harassing the Male Love Interest.
And there was almost a School Days moment towards the end.
Good series, I didn't love it but I sure did like it.
More for the Female Otaku audience than the Male Otaku audience because there are some good quality Husbandos in Romantic K and if I had to pick my fav, it would be the Childhood friend who was the boy who was the Hard Core Gamer who also became a talented Baseball player at the school.
If you want to know what happens in the Manga, I would say read it in case if there is no Season 2.
It ends with a hint of a possible season 2 after the main drama of one of the Husbando characters end.
There is a small Goodbye moment but when they return before the end credits, it does hint for more to come.
So I would say the Manga is worth a read if you enjoyed Romantic Killer the anime.
I wonder if there is a Chocolate Cat the Video Game.
That would be perfect for the Redhead Protagonist girl of this series.
I also love the Dog Poo moments especially in that Board Game where she constantly lands on the space that says she stepped in Dog Poo and has to replace her 100,000 Yen shoes, loose another 100,000 Yen.
I got to admit, the trailer looked really dumb to me, so I put off watching it for about a week. I ran out of things to watch, and so I decided to try it. Honestly I really love this anime. Over the top comedy is usually my favourite, so that's probably why I loved Anzu so much. Her character was just so funny. I actually enjoyed her relationship with Riri the most, because I loved the back and forth of them scheming against each other. But happy to have that added drama and sweetness of the other characters to help balance the high energy those two had. The ending wasn't really what I expected, but an interesting surprise.
sub or dub
Edit: nevermind I dropped it when she got chased out of her own house by a bug.
Great show
The premise is interesting enough and promising enough to keep me watching. It got rushed at the end, but maybe that won't happen so much in future episodes of it gets more seasons. It's no Kaguya-sama, but it's pretty good and has a lot of room to play with clichés
Anzu is best girl of the year, there I said it
I watched it dubbed so Azu's loudiness didn't come across as annoying. What caught my attention is how the love interests have a romance manhwa design, I guess it's an adaptation of a webcomic. I'm looking foward to seeing her trying to balance her hobbies and her relationships in the next season.
great review for a great show!
Even though riri is the 'plot driver' I really hate him/her. It gets annoying yet all the episodes have been heartwarming until the 10th episode or so of our best boy.
And yes I wish Anzu can stay single until she CHOOSE to want romance in her life because she's damn amazing
I love the series too, which surprises me because lately a lot of tv series and movies aren't grab me like they used to.
I feel sympathy towards Tuskasa and that he was dealing with be too good looking and was trying to escape a twenty-something year old woman who is obsess with him.
that one scene where Anzu flicks Rio/Riri's forehead got me to watch this series….ended up binge watching it and I am totally not disappointed
need a season 2 even though the manga is done too open ended in a bad way imo the writing was amazing until kate showed up
Until the last three episodes the show was kinda mid
But they vastly improved the show by adding some true drama at the end and the show became a serious show which felt extremely real somehow
Just here to say that Romantic Killer is not only not a RomCom, but it is the ANTI-romcom. It takes everything that Japanese media does in the ways of romance and deconstructs it entirely. The only one who wants romance is the canonical evil, Riri. But Anzu, the heroe, does not want romance. And she wins.
Great review! Watched it dubbed, love the show and it actually made me tear up a couple times
