I still the 1st time when i hear this song, i were like:" what the hot blooded song…" After finish the game and rehear the song, I saying no word with my manly tear drop.
I actually disliked the opening when I first started Alternative. Then as I kept reading the novel and got more and more context for the lyrics and some of the scenes that were shown in the opening it started to grow on me. By the time I finished Alternative I got to the point where I kept saluting along with the soldiers at the end, still do. Maybe an overkill, but I think the characters deserve at least that much.
Shoot. I still haven't finished this VN. I absolutely can't stand Takeru. It got to the point I couldn't stand to be inside his head any more or read another line from him. I don't think I've ever read anything where the main protagonist literally annoyed me out of finishing.
I just want to erase Muv Luv, Unlimited and Alternative from my mind. Overall story and setting was cool as hell. Takeru and his bs ruined it for me. I'll probably always have this nagging of what happened, but it's not worth the frustration of seeing the stupid things Takeru thinks up.
If you don't mind having an absolute moron constantly bitching though. The overall story and setting is pretty cool. You'd have to start from Muv Luv though. In Muv Luv Takeru being a fool is acceptable in the slice of life anime bs going on. Once serious situations in Unlimited and especially Alternative pop up though. Takeru and the idiot thing quickly becomes annoying as fuck.
I can't remember the professor, his one teacher, the lady who ends up being the XO of the base he is on and knows all about the dimensions and shit. But almost everyone of his conversations with her just had me wanting him to shut the fuck up and quit giving her more reasons to clown him for his stupidity. But Takeru would just keep on talking.

A few years ago I read this web serial called Worm and near the end I couldn't stop thinking about it in relation to MLA here; the same level/energy of despair and escalation were in both. Just rewatching this OP I feel like giving it and Muv Luv another read. If you see this comment I highly recommend checking it out.

The perfect cherry-on-top would be if the Engrish voiced lines in the game were replaced with actual English.

The anime is waaay deferent looking than this.
I hope they work out all the licensing issues and this gets into the MLA release.
