Yeah, this anime still haunts me a year ago, watch the intro to find out more
that girl is still here lmao. worst show already
As if things with Hayase from the 1st season didn't get hectic, we now gotta deal with her descendants too. If death wasn't good enough for her she starts getting reincarnated, my god Hayase really transcended her Yandere obsession for Fushi to a whole new lvl.
Consuming small doses of poison to develop immunity over time is a real thing.
It's called Mithridatism.
"Mithridatism is the practice of protecting oneself against a poison by gradually self-administering non-lethal amounts. The word is derived from Mithridates VI, the King of Pontus, who so feared being poisoned that he regularly ingested small doses, aiming to develop immunity."
Thanks to that, he survived perfectly fine an enormous amount of assassination attempts.
However, when his country was in a corner because of the Romans (this was in late antiquity), he was essentially forced into a situation where his "better" fate was to kill himself to not suffer more once captured. He tried to kill himself with the most lethal poison available at the time, but it didn't work. In the end, he had to kill himself with a sword.
So he lived as he died, actually immune to poison.
NOSTALGIA.
I wish Parona and March were still alive 😭
