razer is like the beats by dre of gaming accessories
They look really, really similar to sony's.. it's like a mix of xm3 and hear on 2..
So, they're just a re-badged set of Beats; over-priced lies.
The only reason you’re “reviewing” this obviously bad headphone is because you know people think you’re a shill. It’s so easy to paint yourself as fair when you beat down on headphones that have no business in the audiophile world. Kudos. You’re still the least trustworthy reviewer I’ve ever seen.
It's really too bad because Razer seems to be actively trying to improve their products' appeal to enthusiasts. Their recent keyboards have been fairly well-recieved by the keyboard community after Razer actually took advice from them. I guess the improvement can't be across all the board all at once.

Pretty much every other review is very positive for the Opus. I just got my pair and I think the sound actually is pretty good but it's hissing like you're saying and I don't know, but the ANC barely seems to do much…

i found out razer owns the ip for thx, so they can certify whatever they want, but the amp chips and other physical stuff is a different thing apparently? im not100% sure on how it works because you have random companies with thx amp chips but not razer stuff like the actual speakers or headsets. maybe that will change down the line but its not looking like it is because thx aaa amps are still being made and razer has nothing in the pipeline saying anything about any of their audio having actual thx hardware in it, just random certifications and spatial audio

I may be in a minority but i think these are excellent mobile use headphones. Noise cancelling performance is excellent, sound is decent, build quality good and they can be bought for a lot less than Bose and Sony headphones with similar noise cancelling performance.
I think you got a defective unit. That’s what i’m hoping because I ordered these for my girlfriend hoping to get a good experience out of them. I just want something that’s remotely in the territory of the QC 25 in terms of noise canceling, comfort, and sound quality. Everyone else has been reporting positive things about the sound so idk what happened. Rtings also measured them and they sounded good. Strange. I think it may be defective which does suck and is a red flag QC wise

I think all the shortcomings and weird design choices of these headphones can be tracked to one reason: they're made for laymans, and laymans mostly don't care. These sound better than their earpods or their "gaming headphones" and that's amazing to them.
Razer makes garbage. I have no idea how they obtained the reputation of a quality company
