士郎正宗さん原作の人気アニメ「攻殻機動隊」をスカーレット・ヨハンソンさん主演で実写化したハリウッド映画「GHOST IN THE SHELL（邦題・ゴースト・イン・ザ・シェル）」（ルパート・サンダース監督）の日本オリジナルの本予告編映像が3月7日、公開された。1分30秒の映像では、ヨハンソンさん演じる世界最強の捜査官・少佐のバトルシーンや、上司の荒巻役のビートたけしさんが少佐の名を呼ぶシーンなどが披露されている。
本予告映像では、ビルから落下し、ネオンの輝く街に飛び込んだ少佐の体が景色と融合していく場面や、少佐が何者かと激しいバトルを繰り広げる場面などがお披露目されたほか、少佐が「私は何人目なの？」と誰かに語りかけるミステリアスなシーンなども公開された。
「攻殻機動隊」は、近未来の電脳化社会を舞台に架空の公安組織の活躍を描いた作品。士郎さんの原作マンガは1989年から25年以上にわたって展開されている人気シリーズ。押井守監督が手がけた劇場版アニメ「GHOST IN THE SHELL／攻殻機動隊」（95年）、「イノセンス」（2004年）に加え、「攻殻機動隊 STAND ALONE COMPLEX（S.A.C.）」シリーズ、「攻殻機動隊 ARISE」シリーズも製作された。
実写版ハリウッド映画には、少佐の上司・荒巻役でビートたけしさん、オリジナルキャラクターであるオウレイ博士役でジュリエット・ビノシュさんも出演している。北米では3月31日に公開され、日本では4月7日に公開される。

In the official trailer, besides the scene in which the commander falls down the building into the street shining with neon lights, and the scene of her fierce battle with others, the mysterious scene in which she asks someone “What number am I?” was also revealed.
“Ghost in the Shell” is the production portraying the activities of the fictional public security organization, which takes place in the cyberpunk society in near future.
In the Hollywood live action adaptation, Beat Takeshi plays the role of Aramaki – commander’s senior, and Juliette Binoche plays the original character Dr. Ouellet.
