Aggretsuko Season 4 wasn’t great. I’ve been a pretty big cheerleader for how Aggressive Restuko has continued to grow through the seasons but Aggretsuko S4 was a let down for me. Do you Agree? Disagree? I’m interested to hear your thoughts. (No really I’m not just saying that)

  1. i didn’t watch this season bc i heard Haida and Retsuko get together but the ARM WRESTLING IS KILLING ME 😭

  2. I honestly wished that retsko stayed with todano honestly he was the best man she had met by far no one else came close in my opinion also season four kind of sucked and do focus more on toan also Haida I feel was always there for the funzeis like season one he was just a side character that is friends with retsko alright second season we make Hieda liked retsko alright but he doesn’t tell her cause he a faking chicken Third season We’re trying to get him with retsko and says he wants to be where retsko belongs sure not the best line but okay ? Season four oh sh!t it’s a train wreck hieda and retsko won’t get together hieda is working with fenico to tell retsko he liked her blah blah blah restsko tell hieda he likes her also I think the pacing very rushed to get this all done and we have like hieda over here armwrestling everyone for some reason …… why did we need this? I could have gone with the season without hieda over here arm wrestling people

  3. Is hard for me to say it, but Ton's character arc was masterfully done, and funnily it added to my frustration with the whole season, because in past seasons I really loved to hate him, and now the show is making me feel some sort of sympathy for him.
There was something that would helped me truly come around on Ton's character arc and that was him working at the convenience store, that would have forced him to open his eyes to the world outside the office, but the main plot made him go back to it, scrapping any true character development for him

  4. i just finished this season and honestly it really feels like they had a full story with darker themes and then had to speed run changing all the dark things, they definitely hurt heida more than he deserved and i even think the original plotline included him crashing through the window with the director on his own volition instead of a magic death metal ray

  5. just benched watch season 4 it was good until i saw how they treated haida…like wow…just wow and on top of that he quit jhis job (tbh id do the same) retsuko pissed me off too tbh slapping hadia was un called for

  6. My main gripe is it only had one new metal song. Maybe this isnt a big deal to others but I've been an extreme metal fan for 15 years and it was insanely disappointing for me. And I'm sorry but Haida's punk music sucks ass.

  7. Man I was screaming at the screen to Haida to just ditch them and move on with his life, him leaving the company was a great move, but staying with Retsuko was a terrible one, more by the fact that not only they have no chemistry, SHE ALMOST KILLED HIM (oh yeah but got comically saved, even tho idk why almost killing both boss and Haida solved the situation), bruh when I saw Inui I had a light of hope of him just giving it a chance and see that maybe opportunities are better in other places, but then everything went downhill with a ridiculous amount of dramatization and exaggerated scenes that didn't made sense and make this show look frustrating and disappointing with a on quote "good ending". Man I'm done.

  8. Idk what they're going for anymore, cause honestly at this point I'm not rooting for Retsuko at all. I don't think she should be with anybody, and after them villianizing Haida in a way that felt pretty much out of nowhere, and the way she reacted to that… idk I don't care if they get together. I'd rather they not, and that he dates someone else while she learns more about herself or something. Everyone felt so off this season I'm not sure how to describe it, definetly felt like a different show

  9. I stopped shipping Restuko and Haida way before S4. I've lost complete interest in that idea by S2 or S3 (can't recall exactly when). I felt Retsuko doesn't know what she wants. When dating other characters, not once in that time had she even thought of a romantic relationship with Haida (I could be wrong, it's been quite a while since I watched pre-season 4). The Haida/Retsuko relationship buildup dragged out for way too long, and by that point it just felt like her dating Haida was a situation of "sure, I guess we could try this out". Once Retsuko's character is fully developed, and she truly finds herself, she could do perfectly well independently (while still having her friends, of course).

As for Haida, I feel he was Retsuko-smitten for way too long. He and Inui (whom I actually shipped) could have been such a decent couple.

I absolutely love the show and its characters, this was just my 2 cents on this matter in particular.

  10. Well I think season 4 was decent it showed how love is hard, brutal, and full of expectations it reminds me of my own love life I go back and forth thinking would I take a step yes or no, but in the end it never worked because of how I never took that one step that I needed.

  11. I personally didn't jive much with season 4 because it stopped being relatable. The whole appeal is that it's an anime with adult aged characters, so "this is Love Live with animals now" kind of alienated its western audience.

  12. My problem with the fraud plot is that it’s never given much explanation. Haida frauds because compliments? Come on. He could have done it for the sake of preventing layoffs and that would have made sense but noo.

  13. Man i dont understand how people think agretsuko planning/confabulate/betray her partner is good at the slightest, have no fucking sense how everyone whas against aida and the new president knowing tom practice and how he mistreath other workers, literally the compañy is fucked because they dont want change and at the last episode whe watch how nothing change, so the contability department is a liability, tom and hes unificient coworkers are in the same place and haida the one who change for better how the are work is the bad guy, what the actual fuck man….

  14. Honestly, Retsuko is a bad show that is saved by the fact that is features cute animal characters. I watched this show just to simp for Haida, and it was just one feels-bad moment after another.

  15. I've been a huge fan of series since s4, it was pretty disappointing, SPECIALLY after waiting for 3 seasons to see Haida and Retsuko relationship develop, the ending also left me scratching my head, it was way to absurd and it took me out of the universe almost completely. I really hope they go back to the style of writing they had in season 2-3 for s5 because this season just ain't it :((

  16. The problem isnt that I find haida too antagonistic but everyone around him in the story literally became antagonist to him. He literally finally gets some from of success in his life and every turns on him and pushes him away lmao.
