This show almost lost me today when he accepted to help the heroes party again after all the abuse. I know he fought and beat them but if he goes and helps the party next episode I’ll be done. I can’t stand when mcs do that

Definitely reminds me of red a lot from banished from a hero's party. The guys a very genuinely nice person but isn't afraid to fight.
I think the real hero here is rien and something happens to his village is a plot, to kill the hero before its too late its like plot of killing a prophecy before it become old and troublesome

Honestly if a goddess chose these clowns as heroes, perhaps that is not the deity you should be following. Well, unless she picked Rein. That was a better decision.

This is around the point where I think Rein being as OP as he is starts to be a problem. Like, don't get me wrong, I love the that he's literally the walking embodiment of the "power of friendship," and it's very satisfying to see him smack Arios around, but thematically, it kinda muddies the point of his character?
Rein doesn't need to be conventionally strong, he just needs friends who can appreciate his strengths rather than think lesser of him for his shortcomings. Even if you take away the powers he gains from his contracts, he observant as heck, seems to have a encyclopedia's worth of animal trivia in his noggin, and his skillset makes him absolutely CRACKED at scouting and reconnaissance. With how often Rein defaults to using venomous insects and the like (plus, dude get's a gauntlet that shots traq darts later), in combat, he really should've been full-on debuff support rather than another DPS.
Rein is what i call a strong but gentle character. And if that very gentle lose his cool, he turns from a calm wind to a destructive tornado.

Very satisfying to see the hero team get knocked down a peg. It irks me how they constantly called him useless the entire time they were desperately asking for his assistance. Nice to see how much he really contributed to the team.
Rein is the real hero, not that asshole and his asshole party.

Yeah this anime’s 100% on the cliche side, but that’s just the way I love it, the satisfaction always gets me 🙂
