  1. Hi! I was wondering if you can make an Todoroki x listener auto. when shoto in the hospital after being burned by Dabi. Please

  2. Unless i got it wrong, i just seriously hated how he finally got retsuko then turned on her. Either way hes an awesome character

  3. Love this show and still liked Haida but it’s a shame they couldn’t get their relationship right. ‘Will they won’t they’ is always tiring to get through and the relationship always just the end goal/finale. Season 4 was an overall let down but I hope it gets better again

  4. Haida was pretty likeable until S4. What on earth were they thinking?

  5. As a below average fan of Haida, here’s my opinion:

    – Season 1: likable (clingy in Metal Christmas)

    – Season 2: didn’t do much, but this is probably his best portrayal

    – Season 3: frustrating, but I understood that his situation was not easy

    – Season 4: pretty unlikable for the most part, him quitting the company (finally breaking the status quo) is probably the best choice he’s ever made

  6. I get why the writers kinda want to characterize Haida in that way in S4.

It's pretty much obvious that the writers really wanted to push the Haida x Retsuko relationship ever since the beginning, and I do get the aspect of Haida wanting to be on Retsuko's level on S3 and not really doubling down on it on S4 (and hey, there are folks like these when it comes to pursuing a relationship, where they've finally pushed themselves to be in their crush's zone but only to back away in the next few days or so.)

And when it comes to what the writers are trying to do to fully flesh him out, there are some good instances throughout this season. Someone finally realizing his potential (that being his skills with IT tech that I'm not sure was hinted about at the past seasons) that gave him a boost to actually focus on what he does best is nice, being promoted and working up to the corporate ladder to showcase the unique aspects about him and how he kind of finally realizes that he is no normal guy now, that's good writing for him.

But besides the sudden arm wrestlings, the instant friendly date that he had with Retsuko, the plot retcon surrounding the company at the ending… Yeah, this season is a mixed (but still honestly good) bag, especially towards how the writers are trying so hard to make the Haida x Retsuko relationship work.

Doing all the career improvement just for Retsuko isn't really doing it for me, and I do think the conflict surrounding Haida's involvement in window dressing and Himuro's mindset surrounding obedience just comes off as a bit forced, throwaway plot devices to create some respectable but honestly shallow statement of companies and CEOs being corrupt and just there to make Haida make some decisions surrounding his career and the steps that he's taking to keep that promotion.

And to put my thoughts on the writers probably doing all these in relation to Haida x Retsuko… It's not going to work. A lot of people obviously saw just how they're just quite incompatible, and honestly a bit toxic, especially with what we've seen with these two in this season. I think poking the audience with the red herring scenes of Retsuko meeting with Tadano and Haida meeting with Inui just pissed me off. Because at this point, we're honestly all right with Retsuko and Haida going for another shot with their exes as there's no point for them to be together after season 3.

And truth be told, after watching season 3 and season 4 I was just a bit disengaged towards what and how Aggretsuko will ties things together given just how season 4 messed things up despite some really good moments all throughout. It's just doesn't feel worth getting into the future (and hopefully final season) especially when the writers really want to push the Haida x Retsuko narrative that was great in S1 but fell short in S4. Personally, it's not a bad season as the commentary surrounding older employees resigning to focus on other aspects of their lives and the evolution of companies to sustain in the modern age are good stuff, and the episodes that actually went for that spy espionage plot was some of the funniest stuff in the Aggretsuko series.

So yeah. I won't be surprised if that future season will eventually tie things together especially with Retsuko and Haida's relationship, but I'll be a bit disappointed if that happens.

  7. I don't think it is fair what people say about Haida this season. Everyone criticizes him, and sure he was a wimp in the first half, and it is true that he was doing something wrong later, albeit for a good cause. But nobody talks about how Retsuko was hiding everything from him, and everyone was working with her, letting him in the dark and alone all that time, while he struggled with trying to live up to expectations and saving EVERYONE'S JOB. Instead of hating Haida for this season, I just think they did him dirty in another sense: it wasn't even fair what they did to the man. He wasn't the only one acting out besides in the beginning part, where he was unable to take that final step forward. I think this could have gone way more smoothly if Retsuko was ever freaking honest with the man too.

  8. Need more unique shows like Aggretsuko. I’d have to thank Sanrio for going for the adult version haha. I can relate to Retsuko too, she can be naive and misunderstood too like Haida 🙂 they’re only huma-I mean animals lol I need to rewatch it now, I never get bored of the show 😆

  9. I didn't want to watch this season b/c I knew of this whole window dressing and their relationship.
I honestly preferred if they just became friends outside of work rather then getting together. I wanted interactions of them getting to know each other. sigh

  10. Indeed the writers played Haida dirty, especially because how poorly characterized he was, although that's also pervasive in the first three seasons, is quite jarring here.
This season made it seem Haida relationship with Retsuko was his all and end all, when there's also how much he cares for his coworkers and we saw little of it, and that could have given more weight to his poor actions.
This was Haida's season and they completely blew it, and now we're her picking up the pieces if there's some left around.

  11. Everyone whit a real job can see why haida and the new president way whas the best, the company is a disaster and tom dont deserve anything people do for him.
