   Mahouka Season 3 has been confirmed in production.. It will continue after Season 2 plot where Saegusa's twin sisters got into the school and Tatsuya and his group become 2nd year…

   It seems Maya want's Tatsuya to be really a servant or aka a meat that should be disposed of when not needed. Meanwhile Tatsuya & Mitsuki's Mom kept him within her reach by assigning him to look after Miyuki while also lookin out for both of them. What Tatsuya's Mom did to Tatsuya on the eye to eye contact is the same where Mitsuki remove the Limiter of Tatsuya and hers.

   TBH I don't know who is the Yotsuba's Clan Leader anymore is it Maya or Miya they seem to both have authorities on the Clan and if that's true they are 2 groups clashing in for the power or they just have different way of showing affection to each other.

   It was also Miya who gave Tatsuya a part of her Magicule as you can see on that Operation. The exact reason why Miya lost her large part of her magicules making her weak and lose her life earlier, just for her son to be a magician "artificial". My theory is that she left that 1 emotion of Tatsuya to feel like the way he did on Mitsuki as a family who Miya never gave to Tatsuya directly. Maybe Miya did it so that he won't be disposed of by the other Clan people.

   So to summarize ur question about Maya and Miya.
   When Maya was young she was kidnapped and was molested resulting to unable to bear a child.
   When their father found out, they unleashed the Yotsuba's strongest magician to infiltrate the enemy and killed the entire enemy gaining the Yotsuba the title "Untouchables"

   Miya cant bare the despair of seeing Maya with all of those experiences so she removed those memories and transformed them to magic power. This in turn made Maya hate her sister as she took her memories synonymous to her emotion and as such lost her feelings with her fiance (the current head of the saegusa family)

   At the moment, there are 2 wishes that she have, either for Tatsuya to destroy the world upon Miyuki's death or remove all the enemies who are of threat to the Yotsuba. This is also why he is isolated from other Yotsuba as he is feared due to his powers of destroying anything and restoring everything. And due to his power, he was trained to fight as soon as he was able to walk

   Gonna clarify several things:
   -Tatsuya's mom (Miya) wanted to give him the best chance of living a good life. The results weren't exactly what she was aiming for. As mentioned even in this special, Miya too lost a part of her emotions during this experiment.
   -Tatsuya wouldn't have been able to save Honami at this point in time. He barely discovered how to use his abilities to revive people (first time in the timeline) so there's still a huge learning curve. Also, the issue plaguing Honami (artificial magicians) is that their processing area gets overheated. This is not something that can be easily fixed even with Tatsuya's reconstructive "magic".
   -They skipped a scene where Tatsuya wanted to massacre a bunch of surrendered enemies. This was supposed to show the first signs of strain between himself and the forces.
