I'm so sorry Jeff has passed. I have admired his work in the Toto sound. But for this video, I have to say, that he is demonstrating innovation in the process, i.e. not just how he did it, but rather how he innovated an incredible and unique sound! And if you listen, he combined the work of three other unique artists in a very unique way, and came up with his own unique sound. Genius at work.
I don't play drums but by god I can recognize that's a difficult pattern to master but it's such a fucking satisfying groove that I keep coming back to.
