“What is a human?” An all-star staff including writer Hirotaka Adachi (aka Otsuichi), character designer Yoshitaka Amano, composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and director Yuzo Sato presents a completely original space horror sci-fi story!

In the far future, humanity has been driven from Earth and forced to move its population to another galaxy. Members of a scouting team are sent to search for a planet suitable for terraforming. The crew is created through a biological 3D printer, but a system malfunction causes one of the crew members, Lewis, to emerge in a deformed state. As Lewis turns on his fellow crew members Nina, Mack, Patty and Oscar, a countdown to the end of the mission begins in the frightening darkness of the ship.

  1. I was really waiting for its announcement but I'm not excited anymore.
I would give it a try, But the animation looks like rotten shit.

  2. The fight scenes in the trailer look very awkward but the story looks interesting. WIll give this a watch and hope for the best.

  3. The visual quality is crap to me. Shame because the story sounds interesting…but yeah…it's a hard pass.

  4. I'm not getting any kind of Anime vibe from this clip. It all feels like a 3d animation of some random companies.

  5. It could have been better in 2d for more fluid movements. Lewis character design is my fave. The voice for the creature Lewis gave me chills. The music is amazing. Overall, I think I will watch it.

  6. in some scenes the cgi looks pretty good and in some it looks kinda awkward and meh, but the story could be good and i like the music, I'll definitely give this a watch

  7. Un genio como Amano merecía que sus diseños se trasladaran en un sobrio 2D como sus trabajos de los 90, y no en este horrible CGI que no le hace justicia.

  8. The Story actually seems really interesting! too bad they went with this unwatchable 3D art style. Won't be watching this

  9. Oh this looks sooooooo much better than Gibiate. I don’t mind the CGI at all, tbh it looks pretty good here, I’m just glad the characters actually make me think of Amano’s art style at first glance. The angular look of the characters works nicely in CG and I love how lush and detailed the environments and technology are, it’s very appealing to look at. There is that one scene in the pipe-laden hallway which looks a little blurry but I attribute that to YouTube compression. Keeping a close eye on this one.

  10. It's one of those anime that will make you think, either about your own existence or identity.
The usual trope is that the Human Lewis is the antagonist of this story.

  11. The animation doesn't look as bad as other 3D style anime and the plot seems simple but intriguing.

  12. why do half of these shots look amazing, and the other half look like they are ps2 game cutscenes

  13. When producing 2D animation, studios carefully choose their spatial camera placement, orientation, and motion. Many times one can "feel" the camera that would produce such visual result, even when looking at traditional 2D anime. I wish studios that use 3D animation would mimic 2D angles and cinematography choices in general.

  14. Bro stop butchering amano's art , Vampire Hunter D and Angel's egg are gorgeous , they always do this 3D shit with amano , his art deserves better.

  15. well done winning the award of ugliest anime ever created. this shouldn't even be in anime section, along with all the other cgi garbage "anime" on netflix

  16. 아마노 요시타카의 귀기 어린 그림들로 이루어진 애니메이션, 게다가 제작진 면면을 살펴보면 입이 떡하고 벌어지는.. 기대가 안 될 수가 없는 작품이 찾아왔네요.
